America dropped 26,171 bombs in 2016. What a bloody end to Obama's reign.
Judging from Trump’s embrace of the use of air power — the signature tactic of U.S. military intervention — he is the most hawkish president in modern history. Under Trump, the United States has dropped about 20,650 bombs through July 31, or 80 percent the number dropped under Obama for the entirety of 2016.

The only value i can see to this complete decay of american society is that we might have batman.
Before any of you say Im being hyprbolic go read the news. Employment is done, the numbers show it's not getting better, people dont even care they just are not going to work.
People just dont even care about life anymore lol
They just dont care. Crime is still up pre pandemic levels, not going down.
Schools are basically going to just close down in a year or 2 mark my words lol
It is only a mater of time before my vision comes into full effect. Will it be 7 years? will it be 9? will it be less than that?
It could be any, but the end is nigh.

No I am just depressed people are trying to pretend like their guy is the good guy and the other side is the bad guy and sick of waiting and reminding myself that it is inevitable and can relax.
Also this is the first time in my life I have looked at the country and thought, "yeah a batman would be handy now"
Just putting that down on my personal list of "signs you cannot deny"
We live in a country where our airports and a local carnival are indistinguishable from each other.

You cannot do that anymore! Society has gotten to a point where either we have all figured that out or it’s just on the brink of collapse.

Why yes, it makes total sense that you need to show an ID to buy many products, go to a rated R movie, fly, leave the country, enter the country, rent a car, open a bank account, or buy a gun.
But electing the next president of the US? Nahhh, no ID required. Democrats somehow believe that not requiring an ID to vote makes elections more secure.... think about that. Really think about that.

How is that not good enough?? Who you are down to your SSN, address, phone number, all that shit. Literally telling them "this is where you find me if im lying" then signing it, thats not good enough. If you have it on a plastic card, then fill out the exact same into, its now good enough.
Thats really fucking stupid, to me.
You should look up what you need to vote in your former state of CA. Social? Think again. Let’s take a look:
“In most cases, a California voter is not required to show identification to a polling place worker before casting a ballot.
However, if you are voting for the first time after registering to vote by mail and did not provide your driver license number, California identification number or the last four digits of your social security number on your registration form, you may be asked to show a form of identification when you go to the polls. In this case, be sure to bring identification with you to your polling place or include a copy of it with your vote-by-mail ballot. A copy of a recent utility bill, the sample ballot booklet you received from your county elections office or another document sent to you by a government agency are examples of acceptable forms of identification”

Republicans are playing chicken with a complete economic meltdown while blocking a simple majority vote on the issue, but it's interesting you guys didn't have an issue raising the debt limit to pay for the last administration's incredibly wasteful tax cuts.
Once democrats get everyone on the same page they will pass it at 1.5 trillion or whatever instead of the 3.5 trillion and the debt ceiling will get raised. Senators in states like Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, and West Virginia just need to be able say they reduced the spending so they have a chance at getting re-elected in their swing state because if they don't they are losing their seat to a republican come midterms.
The whole republican blocking thing is so CNN and Biden can get dumb people to think its someone elses fault.
And republican's aren't voting for it so when inflation is even higher next year they can say its democrat spending's fault even though if it was reversed they would do the same thing.

Break the government, get kicked out of office for it, blame it all on the next guy while you run for the next office. Get into the drivers seat, spend ALL the money, run up ALL the debt, shit all over the deficit, start a war, give enormous tax breaks to your friends and donors (effectively shrinking the governments chauffer's, less intake, less spending. more borrowing is necessary the next day because you just took X amount of billions or trillions from the tax system. Spot about the debt ceiling. This has been happening like every two years. "Oh no America is going to default!" It was a bad norm established by Tea Party Republicans as a way to pressure centrist Republicans.
The stuff with the Congress is actually a lot more disturbing. The entire democratic party appears to be ready to pass these bills. The exception is 2 senators who are openly linked to the industries that want the bill to die.
Joe Manchin likes to put on a show, and that's all to be expected. However, there is no evidence that West Virgina supports Manchin's conservative policies. They favored the minimum wage increase that Manchin was instrumental in killing, for example. The show is for his donors, not his voters. It's also an easy excuse for corporate democrats. "We wanted to pass the bill but that dratted Joe Manchin bested us again." He's the fall guy and they like him.
Kyrsten Sinema is a different story. She was elected like 5 minutes ago, but is demanding the bills be separated so she can have one without the other. Unlike Manchin -- there is no track record to go on here, no insider relationships etc. She won't even articulate her problems with the bill in private.
Here is a write up on some of this: https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2021/09/sinema-leveraging-slim-majority-powerhouse-fundraising-hardball-spending/
Despite having similar sway in the Senate, Sinema’s financial support topped Manchin’s in the 2020 election cycle. Neither Manchin nor Sinema were up for reelection in 2020 and will face reelection in 2024, yet Sinema brought in a hefty $3.4 million between 2019 and 2020 and Manchin raised $718,000 in the same time period. Sinema was the 17th highest funded Democrat in the Senate in the last election cycle.
That's a creepy about of money for someone this new to DC. Meanwhile, the people that got her elected in Arizona are already starting to raise money and groundswell to have her primaried. The Democratic Party has been putting the screws on her through their contacts with with the state legislature -- which can even get her recalled. She, normally protected by leftwing media, is now getting a lot of criticism.
This doesn't look like a brilliant DC political maneuver if you want to stay in the Senate. It really only makes sense with the assumption that she has been promised a lot in the private sector after she tanks this bill.
She is an avatar of everything wrong with modern democratic party -- with basically no redeeming qualities. She is super woke, and guilty of calling sexism every time she is criticized. Meanwhile, she basically agrees with McConnel on fiscal policy. It's all about the debt (when its for you -- not me). Good for you. Have you considered the fact that none of that matters? There are several questions here:
Is it a good idea to fund college more? Will it improve economic conditions in the country?
Does America want free college overall, can we afford it?
What is the likely consequences of continuing the current course of action, given that no alternatives are being seriously offered by the side that opposes free college?
Whether or not you identify with someone that would benefit from free college, well that's a bit of a nothing burger.
I don't think describing things in terms of deserve or rights is helpful. It doesn't matter. It's a democracy -- you vote on what you want. You don't need it to be a right. Rights don't matter anyway -- because they are broken the moment power wants to change the law and only restored when power is ok with changing the law back.

Nah its gotten worse here from what I understand. Clark County developed magnet schools or something for the smarter kids but then people got mad that their kids weren't smart enough to get in and complained enough to where now the magnet schools suck too.
Meh idk. I went to the magnet school for a semester in 2001 I think (yes because 9/11 happened while i was there), and it was in the middle of a Vegas high school. Like the kind with the metal detectors where as a white kid you are in the minority. Also ALL the students in the actual program were Asian and they excluded me at that school.
So I went back to Boulder City. Rich mormon town southeast of Vegas. At junior year of high school, was able to do a dual-credit thing at the community colleges around Vegas/Henderson to finish out high school, and they hooked me up with crazy shit like a no-show job on the campus so I was making $14/hr to go to class...school in vegas was pretty freaking sweet to be honest. Also after interning for a local congressman and meeting the student body prez there, he tried to make me inheritor of his position of student body president of the CC, but I was leaving for a university out of state so I passed up the opportunity to be student body prez of a 30,000 student COLLEGE system as a high school senior / college frosh.
Although I did get to be a senator. The student council budget was in excess of 3 million dollars because of the student body size. Once I was a senator I got to quit going to class, too, as student council business trumped my requirements to show up for the required high school classes. So I played Vanguard til 6am and slept in, printed re-dated minutes for meetings to cover my paper trail, and had a ton of dough piled into my account, and a ton of political experience, and the life experience to take care of myself, all before HS graduation where I was valedictorian btw despite basically not attending my last year.
Oh yeah and one last detail -- the student body of the dual-credit HS was 80% female, since it depended on responsible students who could transport themselves and not get in trouble. So theoretically and literally there was a LOT of female attention.
Also, didn't smoke pot til I was 18 hehe.
Vegas school worked if you worked it. I had a really hard time in middle school so my high school turnaround was pretty amazing, and I can only credit the freedom I was given from emotional oppression for that "spreading of wings". If grandparents hadn't had a Boulder City address to keep me out of the ghetto school zoning, too, who knows. I was supposed to be stuck in shitty highly integrated schools in Henderson the entire time. Aw, I'm feeling nostalgic.

So I have been looking up information on college degrees. https://nces.ed.gov/programs/digest/d20/tables/dt20_322.10.asp & https://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=37
The total numbers of Bachelor degrees earned in 2018-19 was 2,012,854
Business (390,564)
Health professions and related programs (251,355)
Social sciences and history (160,628)
Engineering (126,687)
Biological and biomedical sciences (121,191)
(above is over 50% of all degrees)
...
Liberal arts and sciences, general studies, and humanities (44,222)
Foreign languages, literatures, and linguistics (16,592)
Philosophy and religious studies (9,615)
Area, ethnic, cultural, gender, and group studies (7,724)
Total 70,429 or less than 3.5% of degrees
It seems to be that rightwing media and posting world are using a small minority of stupid degrees to explain why millions of people with good degrees can't get jobs like they used to. Or at least claiming its a big part of the story.
I submit to you that it is a string of anecdotes carefully crafted to mislead a part of the population. Its a story, a fictitious realty created by institutions that manufacture consent. Its a key part to make sure rightwing people from humble backgrounds don't support something that directly benefits people like them.

Illuminati Freemasons within the U.S. military - including the President if the USA - did 9/11. Pentagon was hit by a U.S. missile. WTC 1 and 2 were hit by USAF 737 remotely piloted drones filled with jet fuel, then they were demolitioned top-down by Silverstein Corp along with Building 7 that never got hit. They turned on you then, and will keep doing it, over and over. Freemasons within the U.S. military.

Right but going to High School in Las Vegas is the issue (not so much elementary/middle school) and Boulder City is not part of the Clark County School District so a lot of people actually get an address or move out to Boulder City when their kids get to high school so they can be in that school district. idk if I could deal with being out in Boulder City... but there and Pahrump are growing a ton lately because of the huge influx in home prices in Vegas and people moving in from CA. I got a lot of years until I have to deal with it but my wife who went to palo verde wants the kids to go to public school and I'm from out of state but the more I hear the crazy stories about Vegas high schools the more I think I want to send them to bishop gorman or the other one.

Those aren't cherry picked. There in order. I could skip social sciences (which includes economics btw) and history then proceed down the line until a hit something that looked better -- but the point is the only degrees that looked basically non-practical and woke oriented are on the bottom. It's 3.5%.
So if you want to talk about how stupid someone is for going to college these days -- a kid trying to get into business is FAR more representative than the often invoked degrees in gender science or something.
The Parks and Recreation (53,546)
Maybe should have added that. Were still at what? 5% -- doesn't really fit the woke description much. But it porbably isn't that great of a degree to get for jobs. Keep in mind, if your kind of a jock idiot, maybe becoming a fitness instructor on your college sports scholarship isn't out of place.

But with the new never ending debt system that we're about to experience for the next 100 years, marketing for too big to fail factions you'll become indebted to is the safest bet IMO
Nice thing about marketing is you just collect a paycheck from the people who think they know how to use you (business majors) while they stress about business.
You just show up at the end for the party, then hop onto the next project's party planning.

Maybe, probably depends on the degree
And when we are talking cost of the degree, are we referring to just the university academic costs? What about people who would want to quit their jobs to be a full time student? Who is going to wait the tables and answer the phones? Or do those people just get fucked on their education because they need to still be able to work low skill level full time jobs to be able to afford to eat and pay rent? So really to make things fair we should include the costs to quit one’s job and be a full time student, and just immediately replace all our low skill jobs with robots
And what happens when the value of that degree turns it into essentially a high school diploma now that everyone has one? And how would that factor into a possible huge labor surplus vs available jobs

This is a rightwing source -- so I'm not 100% on it.
But essentially forgiving all student debt is a little excessive. But that's only because it includes a lot of very expensive institutions. It gets more reasonable down toward the 50K mark. Keep in mind that can be adjusted so that the very poor get more than the less poor.
None of this is really being discussed though. Biden won. He never said he was going to forgive all student loan debt. He said like up to 40K only on public universities (which is because most previously public institutions are now private -- its a way of lowballing). He put precisely zero effort into pushing it through.
How you pay for it is very uninteresting. You take out debt -- then try to tax or cut a similar amount in other areas. If don't (we often don't) the value of the U.S.D might drop a small amount. This impacts certain areas more than others.
The reason I say might, is because the entire world uses USD as their reserve currency. It's always in demand and we get away with more being the United States than any other country as far as inflated our currency goes.
This is the pricing history of the USD:
https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/index/dxy/charts
There is no sharp declines in value after big spending. Notice the USD strength doesn't track particularly well with how good the economy is doing for ordinary people.
The fact is though, if you print more USD than you produce (which does go up every year), the dollar strength will be somewhere below where it could have been. At least in theory.
That is way more likely to matter if you purchase things on the global market frequently. Generally wealthy people. And as shown, it doesn't seem to matter as much as they would have you believe.
That's only reason they oppose it though. There is also the fact that this economy as is, doesn't really produce enough college-level jobs. Because of this, they really don't want more people going to college. They want people happier to get a job at amazon. Underemployed college graduates are a huge source of instability all around the world. They are poor people that know too much for their own (individual level) good -- its dangerous to power.
The federal government also is currently profiting off of loan payback. This is all more money they don't have to pay.
Many don't want increased competition for their fail sons. There is basically nothing particularly appealing about free college to the well-off. So it's not surprising the two elite parties find a way to explain that "we can't afford it."
Budgets are about priorities.

But yea, those poor workers could you know -- go to college now. Unless some retard with more privilege decides their "too old."
Not everyone will which is this is not the only policy being suggested.
Edit: Among the Class of 2019, 69% of college students took out student loans, and they graduated with an average debt of $29,900, including both private and federal debt.

Forgiving student debt is such a giant fuck you to the people that payed off their loans in the responsible manner. They get screwed 2.3x. 1 time for when they payed the loans originally, another 1 time for the "income support" they'd miss out on, and finally the .3x times for the income taxes that were payed on the original 1x.
I've never voted, but if student loans are forgiven, then I'll be a hard-line voting Republican moving forward.
Nevermind that the college educated might not be the group of people in this country that should be first in line to receive handouts. Perhaps solving the homeless problem should come before making a mockery of contract law.

It’s also a giant fuck you to the current poor, who haven’t had a chance to actually generate some student loan debt. I don’t think the government is talking about an $85,000/each loan to them (probably more to afford to quit their jobs and be a full time student) for when they decide to go to college
So the costs are actually completely off. Unless the gov’t really wants to pass a bill to give free money to a current generation of liberals who voted for them (aka college students who aren’t old enough to have paid off their debt)

Thats the total cost of what it would take to forgive all student loan debt compared to what it has costed so far to run all those other programs. So moving foward, forging strudent loan debt would cost less than the food stamp program. Food stamps is like 79.22 billion a year.
And that's if we are just like: "are you a college student with debt? Here's 50K!"

1) the bill is not being passed, there is nothing like that being considered
2) food stamps is 1.3 percent of the budget, this is less
3) When do you ever apply the logic "but it could be repealed if it were to pass and thus be bad" in any other scenario? I'm not even going to begin to go into whats wrong with that.
4) It benefits the 69% of students that take out debt. One of the reasons poor conservatives are more rare is the affordability (the children of wealthy conservatives are not more rare than children of wealthy liberals). The inflation is a list of things or "baskets of a goods." On that list, car rentals were up like 87% Overall inflation is what we called a skewed statistic at that point. Bacon was up like 9%
Again what causes this is supply and demand. Broad across the board inflation (when all those baskets go up together) is caused when big segments start buying all that stuff more.
So there can be inflation in 1 area and not another. But inflation is also used to refer to across the board inflation. The media knows people don't understand inflation all that well, they just know its bad. So its politically abused word or topic.

Sounds good. Can't wait to read the conservative bill that accomplishes that.
My point of Krysten is a lot of people in left-leaning elite circles are "liberal" only in a social since. So yea -- the overwhelming majority of college staff and their students are socially liberal -- just like they always have been. But they aren't necessarily in support of anything remotely "liberal" or "socialist" on financial policy.

If you guys want to write legislation again, you just need to eject Trump and all his cronies from the Republican party and start trying to appeal to the suburban moderates you lost to Biden (none of this will happen).

Capitalism is just too damn good at what it does. It doesn't matter what people want -- capitalism is gonna have its way. We wanted this little old puritan domestic christian scene perserved -- the capitalist party themselves did.
But capitalism came in the form of some cigar chomping baron saying "this is bullshit -- look at all these lazy women having a nice time at home! Put em to work!"
And now I have to listen to what Candiace Owens says.
Who BTW, might still live under a slavery feudal system if capitalism didn't come in and demand: "Slavery is inefficient and backward. We need to use the wage system to provide these people with even less."
And that's the real reason slavery ended. $_$
Now capitalism is demanding you don't be racist. This bugs people. But I'm telling you -- capitalism is gonna win like it always does.
Basically you got to stand up to that asshole capitalism now and again. But we probably aren't ready to let him go. Technology is starting to get there but its not quite IMO.

Yeah I gotta admit some things about capitalism frustrate me as a conservative
Such as when an oligopoly like Big Tech can use but muh private sector to control the flow of information to the public for political purposes
That’s kinda frustrating for me sometimes

idk what racism has to do with anything here but, ok yeah people are less racist now so that means you cant sell things by saying it's KLU KLUX DELICIOUS!
I dont think you can use capitalism to free the oppressed either if that is what you're suggesting? Like, that capitailsm will drive us to be better?
I'm pretty sure that we drive ourselves to be better by writing music and convincing youth that they should be better, and then those kids grow up and say they want to be better and so to keep up the market changes to reflect that.
The markets are always just playing catchup is what I am saying, not driving the cart.

What I'm saying is that capitalism wants globalization. Which includes a certain globalist anti-racist credo. This is so that money will flow more freely, more qualified people are not blocked by racial requirements etc.
So it seems like a tall order. Humans are racist often times. It's very easy for politicians and other leaders to exploit this. There are some people are naturally less racist. But some are more prone to racism. We all seem to exist somewhere on the continuum.
It's funny because this can be a naturalist way of defining conservatism vs liberalism. Some people are built to think "oh cool, a different looking hot person from another culture or land. Their hot!" They are naturally more trusting and liberal.
The conservative is thinking "we got to make sure this person stays in their lane" and paranoid of the newcomer etc. Their ideal beauty being some reflection of a perfected version of their own culture.
Anyway, both have their problems. But capitalism likes the liberal thought-line more. It's better for business at this point in time. This was not always the case. Its a kind of progression.
This means a lot of people may feel alienated by the "unnatural" feeling of being pushed to accept strange cultures quickly. They would prefer to move a lot slower than capitalism wants them to.
Capitalism likes mass immigration for example. Good for business.

Capitalism wants to enslave people and wall them up in coke ovens.
Capitalism does not want globalism, that is a direct result of culture.
People want globalism because they have spent the last 50 years being American liberals who were told the world is theirs to explore at no cost.
That is changing drastically, more nations are becoming more nationalistic, even the EU wants its own army and the whole purpose of it was that we didn't need armies anymore.
Capitalisms is a victim of the trends that people are victims to and globalism is a dying trend.
IMO.

Yeah, capitalism allowed for the buying and selling of human beings. Capitalism enslaved tens of millions of people. Leopold II, the british slave traders, american colonies, the carribean, Lybia, most any arab nation, basically everyone and nation was a slavery under capitalism. It wasnt until abolitionists became a popular position that it changed.

To be fair, it wasn't though. But to be fair it never is because you cant rely on people to just build a community for the sake of building a community lol
So they were like, well no contracts, but shootings if you dont do the work then!
And they blamed the failures on the people that wont work (like we're doing with covid and the anti vaxers) and that made the people that did work say it was ok to shoot the people who didn't. But spoiler the people who were working, were not really working. lol people cant live with em cant not be them!
