A long time ago (10+ yrs ago) in my job was requested at 11pm for a welfare check on a suicidal woman who was talking about OD’ing

Went to her house, no answer at the door, her blinds were wide open and she was laying mouth open in awkward position on her sofa. I knocked much much louder and no movement from her, not even a flinch

This is enough reason for me to get in deep trouble if I don’t notify police and fire, so I immediately did. Officer got on scene quickly, saw the woman on the couch, yelled and knocked, again no answer. Got on his radio and got an ok within about 1 minute to kick the door in

That’s kind of how I feel. Not really happy with capitalism because I think competition while good can make people be extremely selfish, to the detriment of an entire nation.
