That's such a leading question though. It's like asking "when did you stop beating your wife?".
They have never said they would refuse to give up power, they said they don't want massive voter fraud via totally unprecedented mass mail in balloting. And that should be a completely bipartisan point of agreement; republicans could ALSO exploit mass mail in balloting to their advantage. Why people can't understand this just makes me insane.

After tonight I really want Trump/Pence to win. Kamala was giving off single mother soccer mom who just joined the PTA and now thinks the whole school is hers vibes. Biden already looks like hes on deaths door and wont survive the 4 years and thats legitimate amounts of fear and worry to just go with the lesser of two evils.

The GOP is worried that deep down Pence might have some vestigial shred of conscience and moral compass. They needed someone utterly bereft of that in order to plunder the country unhindered. There was some small chance that Pence might have frowned slightly upon that.

That's what's breaking this nation: The two-party system means we usually only get to pick between "bad" or "worse." In my entire adult life I have never had the opportunity to vote for a major presidential candidate whom I actually felt good about. Picking someone who's merely walking towards a cliff instead of running means we still go over the cliff eventually. Both the major parties are solely concerned about their own power and they're increasingly willing to burn everything down if it means they get to rule over the ashes. I feel as though I'm living in the western roman empire during the crisis of the third century, or the byzantine empire circa 1070--a great nation past its peak, still strong in the here-and-now, but stuck with a fundamentally broken government.
The wife watched the debate in its entirety and concluded that Harris is "vile" to use her word and that Pence is at least sane. Considering that both Presidential candidates are older than sand, the VP's in this election are perhaps more relevant than is usually the case.

I don't trust either of them to make it through a full term. Even if the person who wins doesn't outright die, we could easily be "Wilson'd" with an incapacitated POTUS while someone else behind-the-scenes takes over the job. Biden seems so sickly I suspect that'd potentially be the case with him from day 1. It's a pity too, Biden of 30 years ago seemed a pretty good congressman but nobody defeats father time.
I did not watch the entire debate--I saw enough to see it was about what I expected. A couple minutes ago I asked the wife her thoughts again and "hateful" was the only term she used with respect to Harris that's fit to be repeated in public. I don't know what that woman said but something seriously rubbed the wife the wrong way. I trust Pence like I trust a rattlesnake but he usually handles himself well enough in public.

I got one of these boxes from my neighbor who receives assistance, he said he had received 4 boxes which was too much.
So i opened it up and read that dumbass leader from Trump. In it were a few fresh things- potatos, apples, a block of cheese. But then there was some fucked up stuff.. Extremely strange filler lookin chicken meatballs? Some strange chicken square chunks? LIke ones you maybe put on a salad? And other things straight out of your childs elementary school purchased lunch.. I think the letter is unnecessary for sure, and the filler meats (which i get if you hungry, it's free, you'd be dumb to not consume it) Will ultimately have you looking like trump, as well as the random health issues that will follow.

Carter was an interesting one because he was undoubtedly both honest and intelligent. He probably had the highest personal integrity of any POTUS during my lifetime. He was also totally, woefully ineffective as chief executive. Smart and honest he was, but he lacked the necessary strength of spirit to stand up to difficult problems--a highly effective follower or adviser, but not a leader, and unsuited to the job.
That being said I rate Carter higher than "corrupt bargain" Ford. Ford deserved to be hanged.

You're right that they are different categories of virus, but corona viruses are not uniquely dangerous just by virtue of being corona viruses. The reason people are comparing this to the flu is because we do not take such drastic measures to prevent the spread of the flu. The current virus at issue almost never kills young people, whereas influenza frequently does. There is certainly a lot more to be learned about it, but the scientific method reveals new information every day about any given disease. We certainly understand it better now than we did in January or February, and the fundamental question continues to be: is it worth the collateral impacts of locking down state and local economies indefinitely to control the spread of sars-cov-2 given it's apparent danger profile? They'd be saying "he did everything he could, he's not a fortune teller, he can't see the future" which again brings up my main point; why is this so drastically politicized?? The idea that covid mutated is a misunderstanding. not in the sense that you are using the word mutation. Youre looking at variations in hair color in humans and calling it mutations. Think of it that way. Changes in the genome, and these changes are subtle, and slow. So a new species is far far away. Unlike influenza which would have a elephant trunk by now and 6 legs.

The dynamic in this country is such that one party benefits from voter suppression and low turnout and the other benefits from high turnout of anyone with a pulse regardless of citizenship.

This depends on your opinion of the purpose of the published polls. If you feel they're as accurate as the pollsters can make them, then you have the correct assessment. On the other hand, a person who believes the polls are nothing more than pro-leftist propaganda designed to discourage and demoralize right-leaning voters in effort to reduce their turnout would not likely see it as any different than '16.
I tend to take your side of it. Biden himself is not despised across middle america the same way the Clintons are. I do not know that he necessarily WILL win in this state, but he at least CAN. Clinton had no chance at all--anyone who actually lives here knew as much--and the polling saying otherwise illustrated that something was broken in the system. The present poll linked above calls it more or less a toss-up here in OH right now, and that's about how it feels "on the ground" as well.

If it was a CLOSE victory. It wasn't. 304-227 electoral votes.
If there were only a FEW polls that were wrong. They were wrong on Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, and those were just the ones I looked at.
The polls were SLIGHTLY off. They weren't. Wisconsin 7.6 points, Wisconsin 9.3 points, Pennsylvania 7.9 points, Ohio 10.7 points, North Carolina 6.1 points.

The media wasn't just wrong on their 85-15 odds. The reason they had 85-15 was because their polling was hugely inaccurate. See point #3. If they haven't fixed how they poll, they will get the same inaccurate polling data and inaccurate odds they did last time.

Serious question tho, why is 11 judges instead of 9 bad or different? I mean as far as I know Theodore Roosevelt started it. So I don’t see it as like a slimy tactic... especially when the goal is to balance the two political parties ideology and the Supreme Court, is that not a good thing?

The burden of that argument isn’t why it’s bad, it’s why it’s good. It’s an obvious move to pack the courts with legislate from the bench liberal judges. The Right does not legislate from the bench the same way the left does. The left sees the SCOTUS, as another branch to legislate from. The right sees it as a way to protect the tenants of the constitution. The left wants to turn this country into another dump like Europe and doesn’t understand the beauty that is the freedom loving American Dream.
PS: RBG was a mediocre judge and the left pretending like she was special proves my points.

Edit: The argument I have as to why it's good is: any persons opinion that the right or the left is nazi or marxist or (legislate/don't legislate, good/evil) should be mute, we should not let either of those "sides" have complete/majority control of the SCOTUS... Therefore if one side packs the court with judges that are in line with their ideology so the voters are happy, we need to make sure the other side that is trying to protect other voter's ideologies have an equal voice, (as this is a representational democracy).

I'm going to turn this around on you. The Republicans are trying to appoint judges that respect the sanctity of human life and also very importantly follow the intent and the words of the Constitution, whereas the Democrats like to appoint judges that allow people to murder other human beings in the name of 'privacy' and they do this not because they are idealistic but because they are venal.
Here's a intellectual exercise for you. You really want to kill your neighbor. Really really. So one day you pop him in the head and the police come and you're like sorry, this is a private matter and the government shouldn't get into it.
But the police are like no, this is a murder scene. And you're like listen; this guy was affecting our quality of life. He kept playing loud music for nine months. And then on the tenth month he turned it up louder, so we couldn't sleep at all. When we confronted him, he said he was going to keep doing it for the next eighteen years, maybe twenty. How can we enjoy our lives? How can we make all that money we planned, how can we buy stuff and go on vacations with all this? Thank you for staying out of this private matter, we have given this our conscientious consideration and decided it was all good.

Keep in mind that the vast vast majority of abortions are performed for convenience. So the career doesn't go off track. So daddy doesn't get mad. So you can still party.
This is why I and other Republicans object to Roe v. Wade. Not because it legalized abortion. No one in their right mind understands abortion can be completely banned. It's because it legalized abortion for convenience as a matter of privacy and said yes this is Constitutional and proper. We disagree. If you want to have your abortions you need to come up with a better reason than it's my business.
Roe v. Wade is an abomination as jurisprudence because it invents new "rights" from whole cloth. Literally the only mention of "privacy" in the Constitution is the 4th Amendment:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects,[a] against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated,

So as someone who doesn’t like either political party I feel like the right is packing the court to legislate. The court will need 11 judges so america doesn’t legislate with the Scotus.
The question isn’t do you like abortion the question is do you want legislation coming from the Scotus because you made it clear that the left does that, but using the Scotus to repeal row versus Wade is literately that.
Can you find me an example where the Scotus is used to create legislation that is pro liberal or leftist? I’m just curious because I really don’t know do you do you guys have any examples of that?
Row versus Wade is not leftist, it’s Anti-federalist.
It seems the only one trying to create legislation’s are the ones that are trying to use Scotus to encourage evangelicals that desperately want that, to vote for them.
For the record I’m pro life I think that life begins the moment a child would be born if you were to live your life normally and do nothing to stop it.
If a mother eats and sleeps for nine months a baby comes out of them the only way a baby won’t come out of them is if they actively do something to kill the baby.
But that’s totally my opinion that I only tell my friends I don’t think that that’s an opinion that I should force on anyone!
I get that it seems similar to me allowing murder but I’m sorry if you think those two things are the same then we might as well force masks because that also saves lives.
So I don’t see how you could be pro protecting a fetus but not pro protecting people that are vulnerable to Covid.

Again, im pro life, just pro constitution as well, and in this instance the democrats are the ones protecting it. The conversation isnt about your moral stance on abortion, its about if you think the scotus should legislate or not.
This proves that you need democrats and republicans to fight for the constitution, it proves that we need a balanced number of judges, not a court packed with one ideology that thinks it's protecting the sanctity of life.
If one political party, packs the court with their ideology, we need balance, we need the other side. Otherwise, legislating is exactly what you're trying to do.

The sanctity of life is in the 14th amendment. Meaning it was already a thing, changing that is legislating against the Constitution. So there or the judges who vow to uphold that are not changing laws they are upholding existing virtues that this country was founded on.

RE the 14th amendment defining life:

On jurisdiction: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof

My stance is irrelevant.
What matters is the language in the constitution, citizenship is and was (when the constitution was written) granted at birth.
If a child is conceived in America, does that make it an American citizen? No. But if it's born here, that's another story.

Late abortions are extremely rare. And in most cases those stats only show up where no abortion would be fatal for the mother and the child having no chance to live anyway.

A full term pregnancy is 40 weeks and late term abortions (1% of all abortions) are within 20 weeks.
I remember the 2016 debate where Trump said "democrats want to allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments from birth".
Which is wrong and also ironical how he profited from fetal stem cell research in his recovery with Regeneron.
