all anyone has to do is show the post where he is racist, uses hate speech, or bigotry targeting real-life groups. nobody has done that so far. you all have a very emotional response to his posting and have these claims about what he is saying, but never provide proof -- or he would be banned.
Too much censorship of everyone from all political stripes that frequent Off Topic to pull up the examples which have given me and many others here the impression that Origen hates Jewish people. Those threads are all long gone.
I remember though. Play dumb all you want, booter. You clearly don't want to see what others have pointed out to you both in public and private. Myself included.
You continue to defend Origen. It is something in the past I warned was not worth fighting on a hill for. Your lack of ability to see the regressive nature of Origen is noted. I'm disappointed in you.

There's no difference between saying Malorussia is Russia and saying Israel is Palestine.
Just something weird going on with you and the latter, it's a real mystery.

Botten as a purported proponent of peace it surprises me that you express schadenfreude so easily.
Malicious joy: Sadism moderates the relationship between schadenfreude and the severity of others' misfortune (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0191886916300071)
Science would say your expression of malicious happiness with regard to what happened to Ooloo is an expression of schadenfreude and underlying sadism. Ie. You wish harm and enjoy seeing harm done upon those you dislike. That isn't a trait of the peace loving.
Have you ever considered that you might not be the good guy but just another guy?

The Process Is The Punishment: Handling Cases In A Lower Criminal Court.* By Malcolm M. Feeley. 1979. (https://repository.law.umich.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=3764&context=mlr)
>>
In the final part of the book, Feeley explains that for defendants
it is the cost of the process, and not the outcome, that is paramount.
Sentences are usually lenient, with few long jail terms and frequent
fines of $25 or less. And defendants are unconcerned with the stigma
of conviction or the long-run consequences of a criminal record.
The costs of obtaining bail, missing work to attend court, and
retaining an attorney are far more severe than the sentence. Defendants
plead guilty because it saves them time and money; the costs of asserting
due process rights of trial and appeal far outweigh potential
benefits. In the marketplace, defendants with a minor purchase seek
to minimize their time waiting in line, and pleading guilty opens up
the express lane. Feeley's message is clear: once one realizes the
high cost of invoking rights, the existence and value of those rights
are called into question. Feeley concludes with reflections on the
adjudicative ideal and rejects the "heavy-caseload" explanation for
the pretrial dispensation of criminal justice.

The cruelty is the point.
Another framework is the economic landscape of the law of supply and demand. If the market is monopolized then it is supplier friendly. The rules are set by the supplier. On the other hand if the market is in a state of perfect competition then it is consumer friendly. The rules are set by where the consumers go.
Typically most markets exist somewhere in between that spectrum of monopoly and perfect competition. If a market with more than one supplier drifts toward perfect competition then the rule sets of each supplier become one of the differentiating factors from which consumers decide which supplier to get their goods from. If there are several suppliers offering similar products then the culture that goes along with the product becomes one of the features and/or bugs of that particular product line. The consumer ultimately decides which feature set they are looking for amongst similar product lines offered by different suppliers.

Life is too short.
Don't listen to negative people.
The best way toward fitness is moving every day.
Walking with that daily goal of 10,000 steps is a great starting point.
Movement is the key. The use it or lose it principle is at play when people age.
The best part about walking is that it complements all of the other exercises you do.

Fuck glacier-- July 4th it's going to be as much of a zoo as yellowstone-- get a permit from the blackfeet and do Chief Mountain (https://giantsgate.com/destinations/chief_mountain/)

Eh you just need to get off I-70 and its still legit. The entire San Juan range is all small town goodness and much of Sawatch has a great feel too. Leadville is one of my favorite towns. I couldn't get away from Aspen fast enough, and Vail (was suuuuuuper high) felt like a damn comic/storybook.
I do need to get out to AK, but I'm not a hardcore bushwhacker. I like to drive out / park, hike up to treeline / set up camp, sleep, light-pack to speed run summit(s), then back down to camp to pack up and get out to go have a beer and dank food back in town.
Basically I'm the shitter casual of hiking...with an affinity for exposure when climbing.

starting to mentally prep for a big climb later this winter/spring if we get good snow in socal. the snow creek route up san jacinto is one of the best alpine routes in the state, and oddly out of place down here. it's also a beast.
9,500' vertical gain, in less than 5 miles
BUT, with a good weather year, you get a continuous 5,000'+ of s-tier snow for class 3-4 mountaineering

Got my new grips in today. Everyone is saying how amazing they are so I had to try them out. I'm pretty excited about it. The straps I've been using forever are kind of annoying to use for everything other than deadlifts because they're so long. Really useful for my back exercises when I'm really cranking up the weight and my grip is affecting the muscle group I'm trying to focus on.
Hope you boys and gals are still getting at it.

nice! have you gone before? i went right before xmas, and it was my first time in ~25 years. got the hang of it again after 1 lesson and an hour or two.
Being in shape helps a lot. I’m usually still sore snowboarding the first day or two if I don’t go regularly. It’s obviously a night and day difference compared to going out of shape.
We flew out to keystone for a week in December. The weather was amazing. It snowed just enough that my girl was able to have a great time for her second trip ever.
I was not a big fan of the versa grips. My hands are too sweaty for them during my workouts. I could use chalk but meh. Definitely not worth trading the conventional straps for them.
