It’s called the “GH gut” common among bodybuilders, and the current most plausible explanation in the fitness community for it is that GH causes almost everything (not soft tissue like your dick or every guy would take it, or bones) to grow
So not only does the growth of the organs behind your abs give you distended stomach, it can actually become life threatening when the heart becomes too enlarged by GH

Lol almost as loud yea. My friend and I used to watch that movie until we could quote the whole thing and would chase rabbits down and shoot them with shotguns when camping yelling (definitely as loud then) “RUN RABBIT RUN!” in Otis’s voice. We sort of venerated Otis and captain Spaulding

Starving myself all day until 4pm so I can gorge myself at family Christmas party this eve. As long as it’s my one meal today and I hike before, I can (almost) eat whatever I want
Fasting really is the way and the light. I am almost the leanest I have ever been (aside from when I was doing TKD as a kid) this holiday season AND have still been able to indulge on treats and stuff brought to the office
You just recognize when you overdid it and fast for part of the next day. It’s how our bodies were designed to operate (it feels like)

Break ups will cause you to do crazy things...
Running does not suck once you get to where you can cruise at a certain pace indefinitely. Then you can just chill with the music and see sights
Running as fast as you can will always suck. But no one does that every day. And the bonus is a crazy endorphin rush when you stop. The brain is also deprived of oxygen a little and so you get an additional high feeling
My heart lurched in my chest tonight tho once which made me slow down. As someone who’s had the vaxx and covid I ain’t tryna kill myself out there

I hate running, but love swimming. After I ran each day, I rewarded myself by swimming. As soon as I got done with my run. Jumped right into the pool.

Oh you mean drowning? That’s my version of swimming, I am so negatively buoyant. But I still go 3x at week and you can too, just find a gym with an Olympic heated indoor pool. You can just go to sauna and swim, never have to do anything else, some people have told me at my gym that’s why they go there

Morning physique update, been doing shoulders 4x/week trying to get them “Death star Delts” because surveys show that women notice shoulders more than almost anything. Pretty happy with shoulder progress
Arms are starting to lag now though. Can stay at this bodyfat indefinitely with fasting in morn, only eating at noon and once more at night

People often have misconceptions about PED’s. They think “well I can just take PED’s and be as big as I want to be” and that’s completely true…in a sense. They just don’t understand that PED’s are not a binary 0-1 choice, they’re a spectrum
One on side you have natural, no assistance, where gains will require the most perfect effort - perfect training, perfect diet, perfect sleep, etc
And then you have the other side, and how far on the other side depends on what you take and at what doseage. Some people take very little and so everything else needs to be close to perfect. And some people take a lot and then it doesn’t matter how badly or rarely they train, how they eat, or whether or not they sleep. With enough drugs someone can literally put on 10lbs of muscle in a month with 1x/week training and terrible diet
What more people should realize is yes while that’s possible to compensate with huge amounts of drugs, those drugs will take a HUGE toll on their health, sometimes IMMEDIATELY. And if not immediate, then very soon. So once they almost have a heart attack, or are completely impotent with erectile dysfunction, or their liver is seriously damaged, then they go oh shit and stop. And when you stop for whatever reason, you lose like 95% of the gains. They will melt off like butter within a few weeks to a month
So you trashed your health for what? Gains you can’t keep without literally killing yourself? So this idea of “well I can just take drugs and look like The Rock” is false for the long term. You might be able to get there, but it’s unlikely you can stay there

Does what?
Exogenous testosterone will compensate for quite a lot fitness-wise. Normally for natties there is a protein synthesis window where the function is most active, and I believe that is when sleeping. Other parts of the day like when awake the synthesis process is much less active
Exogenous test, no matter the dose, changes this. With that, protein synthesis is ALWAYS active, every hour of the day and night. It is not affected by a reduction in sleep or anything else that would hinder a natty’s progress. It also doesn’t require even as much total protein intake, because the process is going on all the time and at a significantly higher rate
So someone on TRT has huge advantages over a natural in terms of progress. If they stay at a normal therapeutic dose, they won’t be able to get massive bodybuilder results, they will still cap out slightly larger than they would if natural, assuming all things are perfect (training, diet, sleep)
In terms of performance the difference is not as huge, it’s more about gains/progress
What TRT will also do is change someone’s mood and brain. Especially with “maxed out” (at or slightly above the natural cap) testosterone, over time a person’s thoughts will change. Roid rage is a myth, but there will be a huge increase in confidence, energy, good feeling resulting from physical labor, a desire (even if out of character) to work out…basically a lot of little things one wouldn’t expect
Hormones have a very powerful effect on thoughts, which is why trans people like them so much for that. Taking TRT will make someone think more like a man, even if already a man
The downsides? Besides the cost, for some people they get a thickening of their blood. Not a huge deal and only affecting a small portion but if they get it they would need to donate or otherwise blood-let occasionally to mitigate it. Other people can get prostrate enlargement. Heart issues and blood pressure I really haven’t heard much about

That’s a good question I don’t know enough to answer. What I’ve heard is that the benefits depend somewhat on the compound. Something like Trenbolone will for sure give crazy strength (with big side effects), while orals like the research chemical Cardarine or the steroid anavar (also oral I believe) have fat burning and endurance-boosting properties
Almost all PED’s will def improve recovery greatly tho
The thing you nailed in a previous post is that for many compounds the muscles gained are actually kind of fake when compared to natural muscle. You can even spot this, on anyone at the gym who looks like they are clearly on PED’s, often they will have a roundness, puffiness, and fullness to their muscles. That’s actually just the muscle holding lots of extra water, which is why some have to take even more drugs to try to dry themselves out
Anecdotally, there was a time 5+ yrs ago when I decided to try taking 1000mg of testosterone for 2 weeks, divided up into four 500mg doses spaced out. This was a stupid experiment, I wanted to see how horny it would make me mostly lol (also was disappointed in the result, it was more than with nothing, but also not the crazy amount I expected). What did happen is that I gained immediate size, but when I stopped taking the test, the size disappeared in literal days
I was like “wtf, even if I was bed-ridden it would still take weeks for my muscles to atrophy. Why have I lost so much visible size in just days??”. Then I found out that was just water within the muscle that had essentially evaporated. So like you said before, real natural muscles almost always look better than an equally sized muscle boosted by PED’s. The pump in the gym is unfortunately MUCH smaller as a natty though
The scary thing is the amount of very young guys I see at the gym nowadays who clearly look like they are on PED’s, especially at mountainside which is the bougey $55/mo gym that all the fitness model looking young people go to. They have not only size beyond what should be possible natty, but it’s the puffy round muscles indicative of PED’s. There’s almost as many of them as naturals now, which is a first in my lifetime to see

I believe PEDs have some pros. Just like everything else they are not going to do absolutely everything for you unless u just want bulk. The most incredible result would come from a combined approach in moderation.

My kicks aren’t going to be all that flashy because we trained relentlessly with 100% sparring focus. So that means not only should your kicks be as fast and especially not telegraphed as possible, but you need to also plan for a miss not putting you in a vulnerable position to be countered, such as stumbling, spinning too far around, etc
Next vid I’ll try the monk kick and do jump back kick and the flashiest number 10 kick that Joaquin Buckley got knock out of the year with in UFC (may be the best knock out of all time in UFC). You would normally NEVER do that number 10 kick in sparring, he was just in a unique position where opponent had grabbed his foot:

Of all the people I’ve seen with someone filming them, the ENTIRE workout, have been dudes. Like 8 different extremely fit dudes at separate times, no chicks. And I’m always wondering, you have to be paying that person filming right? There’s no way you pitched to your buddy “hey man you wanna film me for 45 minutes at the gym today?”
Still have not seen a chick doing this. Although generally the ridiculously good looking chicks (on par or better than the best pics of chicks here) there are always in spandex and in center stage on whatever cardio machine they pick. While the fat ones pick the ones in the corner

Biological programming is my guess, muscles imply strength and that implies a better ability to protect and do physical work, both of which were more important to our ancestors but the programming remains
The ideal body type for most women surveyed is not super jacked though. Decently muscled but lean, or just lean with an attractive face, beats bodybuilder every time for most women
Having too much of a disparity can create issues for girls. A guy who is super buff and lean can be seen as a combination of negative factors depending on the girl: 1. They spend too much time in the gym and won’t have time for them 2. They have a hyper critical gaze towards not only themselves but everyone else, and a completely non-athletic girl might feel like she doesn’t measure up. These are just assumptions by women, and while they may not be correct, it doesn’t stop them from being put off by them
That’s why on dates when women point out what shape I’m in and ask how much I work out, my answer sometimes is “think of an amount that you would find off-putting, and it’s just below that” with a wink. Because in reality, it might be actually above that
The girl I’m dating now both works out and enjoys it, and she’s the first I’ve dated in a while like that. I don’t think I would have a good time in a relationship with a super athletic girl, as they tend to become huuuuge attention whores and wanna be models being hit on by everything that moves

Older kids it depends on the kid. Gal I’m dating now has a 13yr old who only wants to sit on a tablet watching YouTube or playing games 12 hours a day. Skinny but not into anything active. So I was surprised when he not only wanted to come to the trampoline park but also kept insisting I go back out and double jump him. He was jumping and running all over the place
Afterward he chain threw up outside. So yea, guess he can’t hang ;)

You need to try out meditation. Not just saying "UMMM" but the real deal. It will completely cure your insomnia and make you sleep like a baby every night.
I did "Silva Mind Control" when I was age 7, and then retook it again as a teen, and then did all the graduate level classes as an adult. I know 'mind control' seems crazy (it's completely a misnomer), but it's nothing of the sort. It is all about controling and disciplining your OWN brain and thought patterns, not anyone else's. Going through the classes and having it in your life is nothing short of amazing. I can clear my mind in 3 seconds, and then fill it up again with incredible intensity. I can compartmentalize emotion and then utterly get gutted when needed. When you realize this is 100% possible for everyone and that you're not alone, you'll be able to take back the control and not let "it" control you anymore.

This is not the "ideal" weight of a woman. Consulting Harvard Medical Charts, the normal weight of a 5'4" woman is in the 110-140 lbs range. Just ask my wife of almost 30 years who is at the lowest end of this range, what is normal and she'll tell you! I can hear her say, "It's all in moderation."

Stretching 20-30 minutes every God Damn Day for going on 3 months now, occasionally twice a day even, with very little gains to flexibility. Used to be able to the splits as a kid doing TKD (beyond the splits even)…now can barely go to an obtuse angle with legs and barely grab toes even after all this work
I have never seen such little gains when it comes to strength or cardio or any other physical endeavor. Very discouraging, and takes a lot more fortitude to keep plugging away at something seeing such slow progress :/
I still think stretching as a whole is very healthy and important, but I hate the feeling compared to cardio or resistance training. The feeling of stretching makes me want to jump out of my skin!

Can you stand the feeling? Honestly holding a stretch is the closest I can get to actual anxiety (other than coming off coke was). I can’t imagine how hard it would be for someone with an anxiety disorder if they have to experience that all the time. For some reason as a kid it was never that bad
One of the happiest parts of my day is when I am done stretching, and it’s not in any satisfaction of progress. It’s just the relief that fuckin feeling is gone

soda's tough to quit because of caffeine withdrawals, but it's a process that's ongoing, dunno if i can totally close the door on it yet. i live within walking distance of a gym and a grocery store. i plan to start using the former, asked for workout clothes for christmas and got some. i always walked to the store for small stuff before but now i make it a habit to go and just grab a bottle of water and walk home. i don't drink much alcohol if at all, usually a rum and coke hanging out with friends, no cigs either but i do like the devil's lettuce, but also only with friends.

I am a caffeine fiend too, I feel ya. I think I would become borderline suicidal if I had to quit. I am pushing the max of recommended 500mg per day between coffees and my pre-workout I take before workouts which is like 3 coffees in one
But yea I quit sodas a long time ago as a kid. Hard to quit but if you ever do, I can’t even drink them anymore, they taste too syrupy now

The whole world will open up to you physically in what you can do, I’m sure you’ll find something active you like. More than a month of my left leg being fucked up where it attaches to my pelvis. More than a month of having to take Mexican Tramadol to run on my busted leg, a full bottle’s worth, and still feeling pain through that + 3 Advil. A month+ of feeling occasional pangs of sadness partly from every single walking step I take hurting on my leg, and probably mostly due to the after effects of whatever that tramadol was laced with
But now, my left leg is about 90% healed, despite never resting it and continuing to run and hike on it. Almost back to full strength

I enjoy hiking but sadly alaska was too cold so the hunt for retirement locations continues
Also, I think I could adapt to alaska for the perks but my wife did not enjoy having an Iranian community of precisely zero. It’s more likely we’d move to Vancouver than here since half of her family lives in Vancouver and the other half in Irvine, cali and the rest of mine lives in sydney and Canberra
So while we’re still in Texas it’ll have to be running. Gonna try New Hampshire next year, but I think we’re going to run the same problem in that my wife will not enjoy being in a place with zero Iranians (not even sure why we’re going, I like the adventure and I welcome my wife letting me escape urban life which doesn’t really agree with me)

Yea I’ve never been for frequent checks. Don’t stress yourself with checks IMO, just try to toe the line with diet and some physical activity and the weight will fly off
Cherish these gains (or in your case, technically losses), because they get harder the more progress you make ;)
