With the instability of the zone server on vztz, having the ability to remove objects from loot tables just to have them surely go back down when more than 6 people are in the zone, introduces a gem dupe.

Was around for a long time, and def one of the most aggravating things about obtaining your base resist gears when others are cleaning up house on the zone crash loot.


We praised voidd just for that single "magic" tag on an item. Raptor Jesus knows there was no way in hell he was going to fix the bigger problem, such as the zone server being a complete piece of donkey shit.

Say two guilds are fighting over control of Dragon Necropolis right? If one guilded is slaughtered by honorable combat (or training w/e), then they get their corpses and leaves. Victor gets Zlandicar and pixels are distributed according to how much dick is sucked.

Sullon Zek never had this, it was balls to wall, kill anyway possible. Bindrushing, corpse camping, bind camping, training, rez box training, it was all acceptable.

Rallos Zek has several topend guilds "police" the server and eliminate "random" pks, basically stopping people from killing somebody else for the hell of it. Rallos Zek was almost strictly based on FFA guild vs guild warfare.

One thing you need to understand, as being emperor rexx i was hunted and sought after on a bi hourly basis. Basically if i died in pve or pvp i would have at least 1-5 fanboys either at my bind or inc to it to camp me for some big rexx Yellow Text.

After fighting No Homo off Severilous for a long while, getting a few kills and scoring a wipe, I was busy rubbing it in to one of the main ones to come out and fight, Hagard and then Sirdario became men about it. I won the Rogue best of the best, and I have looted off players during item loot: fbss, mithril greaves, planar breastplates, crowns of king tranix, jacinth rings, all sorts of shit. I've soloed entire groups on my monk in Kunark, I got 11 killshots solo as my rogue in Sebilis. I've dropped entire groups on my wizard in hate =) . I can joust with the best of the melees from vztz. I've led 2 guilds, been a complete yellow text rape monster when in the Heresy machine, never loaded 3rd party programs on my computer, but because of the grief I have caused to those I have slaughtered I have been petitioned for: Altering the proc rate of my T-Staff, Crashing other players clients, using maphacks/tracking, and using /stick.
All in all it warms my heart to see one of the bitter corpses I left in my wake rise to bring my fame back to the limelight.

I don't toot my own horn much these days, that'l be the last announcement of accolades you'll get from me, anyone who is or was a great pvper, even my worst enemies, we eventually found mutual respect for our respective greatness and dick slapped.

I would never roll a ranger again, they are fun, and tracking is awesome, but it's not for me, was worthwhile to try one and I feel I played my ranger very well for a first timer on 2.0.

Kilyena doesn't understand that a lvl 16 mage with a 200 damage nuke naked can kill a lvl 16 war/druid with little thought.

Being that their nukes are more powerful that melee at low levels, it would be not only safe to assume but to state as factual evidence that you are retarded.

Druids are ezpz to PK at low levels, same with warriors; when you roll a heavy nuke class.

Early mages in Live EQ sucked balls. People don't realize how shitty bolts were (LOS and objects interfering) lack of any sort of crowd control, bards/encs popping pets, necros fearing pets and raping, and how little damage pets did.

Also having to resummon every time you zone.

ENCs could root, mez, fear, charm any pet without any difficulty. A mage would have to have somebody inzone to get any sort of MR buff and at this time there were no summon able items for the pets like Muzzle and shit.

Not to mention an ENC could completely control a mage pet before their Rune was worn off.

In the EMU incarnations of EQ, mages are much more powerful than they were during EQ Live.

don't underestimate the air pet vs casters. It was v. difficult to fight mages on necro because pet would eat you up quickly along with the nukes and if you feared pet (long cast) it was insta dispelled.

See I played top end enchanter on RZ and could solo entire groups of people and did (About anyone from RZ here can attest to that). No one had Jacinth Rings or ANY Mr gear at all on live... You were lucky to have 7mr bracers if anyone invested in the heavily (Harder to make plat back then Jewel Crafting)
So you'll be sitting at a whopping 64mr or so with Shield on and their wasnt Crimson Pots back then.... Before your rebuttal comes in with a I will be buffed with soandso, On Live there were Egg Shaped Pummices, so that badically states you will be fighting a good enchanter with 0 buffs.... Mage pets on Live Did really shit dmg, even at 50 and could easily be aborbed by a Rune or a Quick Beserker Str.....

Like Gyno said, Mages bolts where LoS easily dodgeable, after Tash (Not even Egg Shape Pummice was needed) Nearly every mes landed (thats before they gave warriors an innate 25bonus MR also lets not forget) every Whirl landed, (Could fear players for quite sometime, and while feared nukes landed for full dmg, even if the enchanter nuke was ALL or none back then, with clarity they could keep one perma messed with Enthrall).. Only class That would give enchanters hugh issues was a well played necro with "Book Quest done" to stop messes..... Enchanters also had manasieve back then which would literally take any others casters mana in about 5-6 casts..


So Like i was saying, please dont use your references to anything as to which any version of VZ/TZ had, none were "Live Like" per se, which is what the topic of the conversation is referring too..

Once you shadowstep your character looks like he is still standing in the same spot, when in actuality it is ghosting server-side and you are running away while someone is standing next to your ghosted body wondering why it says "target too far."

There were no Oggok cleavers on Sullon Zek, it was either removed from the game or was more rare than a Tstaff. Pretty sure Herbalist spade was added after SZ already came out too. It would also take MONTHS before you saw anyone with a Tstaff on a new server. The drop rate was either 1% or lower.

I didn't even see a felhammer drop until after months of killing stuff in Sebillis. So yea, if this is anything like EQ Live, even after 3-4 months, the average 55+ warrior would still be jousting with a piece of junk like an exe axe.

Now obviously everyone knows alot more about EQ now etc. And it's a bit hard for me to say, because I played on TZ and Seb/Chardok were dark-controlled zones, so finding items from either of THOSE places was very rare.

That being said ... I don't think I ever saw a single Oggok Cleaver selling on TZ either (and that DID drop in the lighty-controlled KC)

When I was talking about rarity of items, I was talking about EQ live, not TZVZ. On TZVZ, I believe tstaff drop rate was set higher than normal plus people were repopping zones to make it even more common.

Here is where people like wehrmacht lose half their brain hemisphere in an argument. Trying to make arguments for who had what resist gear and items on live will always be a retards argument when comparing to emu. Not because of the droprates, but because there is this thing called previous history. People know what camps drop what items, people know how to pool resources for a guild jewelcrafter and the fastest ways to make platinum. People know the quest to get the key to sebilis, the loc of the mobs for the forager/hunter. etc.

Basically just because you were a gimp on live using an exe axe at level 55 doesn't mean people here will do the same. We know what weapons to get and where to farm them. Nobody on Kunark release knew what zones and camps were the most lucrative for their class.
