Umm... you are aware TMO's first Trak kill came in mid-late August of 2011, correct? Kunark may have came out on March 25th, but the only Kunark mob TMO had killed before their first Trak was VS.. that one time (server repop I believe).

March 25th - late August Trakanon was TR and TR only's mob. They were ready to raid VP by mid-summer and had like 40+ people keyed despite Trak only being a week spawn at that point. VP delay lasted almost 9 months, by which point half of TR had already quit raiding due to having to wait so long, and another dozen were suspended for MQ/SEQ usage.

THen acts like TMO doesnt have the market cornered on selling epic MQs by cockblocking the entire community from the raid scene for however long they've been trying to do it.

6 mobs in over a year that IB left server? Lets compare how many you've killed to how many you have given away.

It was never a question of how many we had killed. The statement was that we had never given away mobs, I have provided proof.

I looked at the date of that BDA post, amusing that it was posted AFTER TMO had already started that concept here, our first from my links was 3/12, yours was on 6/14... so lets not get too uppity about how BDA tried to change the scene and TMO didn't.

So, lets see here, TMO initiates server-wide raid opportunities... check
BDA copies TMO... check
FE has yet to offer anything of the sort... but claims that if only TMO would be willing to allow other guilds to raid things, they would do the same...

it appears that FE is lying, else they would have already offered dragons etc to others.

TMO has extended an olive branch in the past to anyone that wanted to raid, that they could come with us... and we even offered mobs that we wouldn't touch in a given week.

The response was a slap in the face of people saying either we weren't doing enough, we had ulterior motives, we were going to train them when they tried and so many other things. Go read through those posts, they're filled with that kinda BS.

We offer a branch of friendship, and camaraderie and people break the branch off... so we stop doing that, then they people complain later because we kill everything.

You're damned if you do, and damned if you dont, so why shouldn't we kill everyting we get the chance to for our guildmates alt #X when our guildmates are appreciative.

Why should we continue down a path that leads to people trying to smear us because of their own bias against us for whatever reason not that most of them are reasonable, when instead we can just get hated for doing what we do... killing things.

The hard part in any game for ANY guild, be it TMO, FE, BDA, VD, FoH, <insert guild name here>, is that when you're doing what others are either not capable of, or choose not to for whatever reason, they get jealous, which turns to annoyance, then hate.

We get hated for being good, and if FE thinks that they're going to knock us off some imaginary pedestal of being the top guild... thats fine. Then they will be hated for doing the same thing we've been doing... those at the top get sniped by those below them, those at the bottom complain that those at the top don't do enough to make their experience in the game better, and become hell bent on "bringing down the man"

My system works: every Sunday any guild who wishes to compete for mobs bring your best 6 (or more)players to the arena. Then we duel for rights to mobs, one or two at a time.



Like this: 10 tmo, fe, bda show up to arena. Break into teams, discuss which mobs go first.


Lets say group 1 is fay/dojo/sev. Group 1 is fought over first...with the winner claiming rights to those mobs that week.

Then group 2 is tal, gore, naggy/vox (non epic dragons)


Group 3 could be trak/vs.



Just an idea, I think would be fun.

It was never a question about equality, nor was it a question of what the mobs had, it was a question of having given up raid targets. The statement was that we hadn't, I have shown that we have. I have also shown how people pissed on us for doing so, which is why we stopped. BDA ALSO gave up mobs, not trying to discount their contribution in any way... they did it. FE has never tried, but claims that if we would, they would... we already have... they haven't, so trying to make that claim is false.

As for how we went about offering the mobs up to the server, why we did it, who benefitted, how long we did it for, and what mobs it was on... it doesn't matter

This is simply an observation, use it as you will. When we're accused of being patronizing for having the list at all, people want to kill it. When we're accused of being control freaks for only sharing table scrap mobs (say, outdoor dragons), people want to stop the list. When we're accused of being anti-social children for killing every target, people want to lock it down harder.

The more you rally against someone, the harder they'll push back. Every time TMO is vilified (rightly or wrongly), a specific mentality is inflamed. Certain actions and statements, however justifiable, true, or untrue, are adding fuel to the fire.

I suspect you missed the point entirely. My post was social commentary. It was directed towards the criticism of TMO's efforts (however honorable or pathetic). I simply stated that certain solutions become non-viable when the social setting reaches a certain level of animosity.

Whether or not TMO can lock down targets is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is the direction and nature of the dialogue.
