![]() I hadn't built a desktop in over 10 years, and only with my dad. In fact, I haven't owned a desktop in that long, been through several laptops, so getting a desktop is really nice. It was fun to get my hands on the hardware level since my only real focus in computer science has been writing software. Of course, it was a pretty straight forward process, and I'm very happy with the results. Linux installed in like half a second. I bought most of the parts locally and got a bulk homie discount, some of the prices were better than Newegg and Amazon. It was around 2 grand.
