![]() I'm playing a shaman right now that just hit level 24. I was disappointed to see that the high damage output of the level 24 poison DoT was not classic, and it actually hits for only 27/tick. Affliction, which is almost half the mana cost, hits for 25/tick and lasts twice as long.
My question for other Shaman out there is this: what purpose do these poison DoT's really serve? Do the get better at higher levels? Just to reiterate: Affliction - lvl 19 - 30dd + 25/tick*14 ticks = 380 damage for 59 mana Envenomed Breath - lvl 24 - 30dd + 27/tick*7 ticks = 219 for 100 mana Thanks all.
