I'm afraid to ask how this conversation between you and a group of nurses began.

Do you just frequent hospitals and strike up conversations with "bunches of nurses" as the archetypal "know-it-all/I troll WebMD" patient?
You are the quintessential retard. I'm a cardiac tech stationed on a Med Surg/GI floor.

Contrary to popular belief of the 'overworked american nurse', the nurses in the hospital that I work at have quite a bit of downtime and the bulk of them (night shift in particular) don't really care about "workplace appropriate" in casual conversation.

You are of course assuming that I broach these subjects, your assumption is of course wrong. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Please try again feminazi.

About a month ago some of the nurses were talking. Night shift nurses are more amusing of course. Somehow the conversation went into this direction.

Nurse 1: Is the penis a muscle?
Nurse 2: I think so, yeah it's a muscle.
Nurse 3: Of course it's a muscle! What else would it be?
Nurse 4: Dunno, it might be, I think it's an organ though what do you think *insert my name here*?
Me: Pretty sure it's an organ, but aren't the four of you the ones who've gone to medical school?
Nurse 2: *Sure of herself* I don't know about that, let's look it up.

P.S. The penis is an organ. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Nothing technically about it sir -- you gotta be pretty clueless to work in a healthcare setting and not know who goes to medical school :P You saying that is significantly dumber than the "stupid" examples you've posted.

Just sayin!

So what does a cardiac tech even do? Are you the guy who sits and watches the telemetry monitor all night and pages the nurses every time a patient pulls off their telemetry leads? Do you go around and do ekgs?

I browse the internet all day and play wack-a-mole with all of the false alarms that pop up. Shit's so easy.

I don't work in healthcare because I am interested in health care, I couldn't give two shits about amurikan medicine. I applied for the job because I knew people and it was an easy out of shitty retail. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
