I actually like that desk. I need to replace mine.
I've had mine for about a year, and his is new. Was about $175, which isn't bad for a desk this big w/ the hutch and drawers (although yes - it is particle board). Took quite a while to put together. Picked it up at Office Max, along with our new chairs!

Nice box bro. I built new last year and went with 16GB of RAM. RAMDISK is soooo cool. Makes life with VM much easier too. Gratz!

Isn't that basically just the definition of a steradian?

ste·ra·di·an
noun
1.
the SI unit of solid angle, equal to the angle at the center of a sphere subtended by a part of the surface equal in area to the square of the radius.

Do you sit naked on that chair? Can I have it when you are done?....you can just leave it outside.

Notice the foot stool under my desk because I am shorter than short, so my feet don't reach the ground when I am sitting comfortably in my chair.

I hadn't built a desktop in over 10 years, and only with my dad. In fact, I haven't owned a desktop in that long, been through several laptops, so getting a desktop is really nice. It was fun to get my hands on the hardware level since my only real focus in computer science has been writing software. Of course, it was a pretty straight forward process, and I'm very happy with the results. Linux installed in like half a second. I bought most of the parts locally and got a bulk homie discount, some of the prices were better than Newegg and Amazon. It was around 2 grand.
