Now what a minute I just noticed that...
If was able to attack people without aggroing the guards by casting on people in the bank behind the forge house in Neriak (could cast non bolts thru walls, made casters be not garbage in dungeons!).
Pretty sure the guards would just do nothing in every case I can recall... not pound the person... Though I do vaguely remember trolls and ogres I attacked having this happen.
My clearest memory is around lvl 12 my friend casting heat blood on a troll shaman in town and the guards did not bash his face in for doing it. I think the guards did stomp the shaman actually.
I guess with even/similar faction, they did nothing... I'll see what I can find.
