Does planting items on regular mobs work on this server? Potential there for people to track down a quest item (something hard to find quickly like shark meat or ice giant toes so nobody just buys it off a vendor) and trade it in for "Reward X"...done in a zone where there's a ton of mobs (GFay, EC etc) it could be a challenge.

Would be quite a story if a high profile item was found looted on an orc pawn [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

That sounds pretty fun actually...can anyone test this?

Would need to figure out how to make it so only lvl 1's can participate..otherwise we would have high lvls aoeing down the zone.

It would have to be the turn in variety as opposed to the loot variety then. If a high level attempts to turn in the item for a reward, simpy deny them the reward.

I think you underestimate the sneakiness of our playerbase =) I am sure they would just hand the quest item off to a lvl 1. Or have one on hand to loot the item if it was no drop.

If I was in that same boat I would just do something sporadic and unannounced. If you can give an npc an item so that it becomes lootable on death, just hit up a random zone and do it. I don't think many high levels would be running around killing caimans in oasis for the hell of it.

About a week or so ago I was in GFay and on a whim I said in ooc that the first person to bring me pixie dust, wasp poison sac, bat fur and a bone chips would get 200pp (sadly all I had on me at the time). I was expecting it to take at most 10 minutes for someone to win, but I discounted the fact that there was a server repop that day, so it ended up taking like an hour. Folks were scrambling for pixies, was kind of fun.

level 1 race across norrath. players could start, for example, humans in qeynos and have a race to highkeep. it would be fairly dangerous and time consuming. no gear or buffs allowed of course. shorter and more dangerous situations could be though of no doubt.
