Mini Event Giveaways Ideas
 

I'm back...and bored already! Which means free Plat for everyone*!


I have been trying to think of some events I can host to give away some plat...but my brain being what it is...I havn't had much luck. I hosted some pretty fun ones in the past but we needed GM intervention to make it happen. Anyone remember the trains lol...?

What I want is some ideas that we can do in about an hour start to finish with a single winner who gets like 5kpp or something to that effect. Needs to be something everyone can participate in. So maybe everyone has to roll a lvl one etc. Needs to be something that people cant cheat at...so races...lvl 1 pvp brawls...are out I think unless you guys can think of a way to moderate the event.


Ill make a list of the best ideas and then maybe put up a poll and do 3-4 of them.

So start posting up some ideas and we will have some fun =)

If you have an accomplice, you could start by thinking of a non-google-able riddle that gives some kind of clue as to where your accomplice is hiding (in an adjacent zone or something), and who it is. Then the accomplice gives those who are able to find him another riddle, or a task or something. Which could either lead to a third accomplice nearby or the reward itself.

I think it would be a little less likely to be griefed if the trolls have to carry their attention spans all the way to the next zone, and they would have to expend at least some effort to figure out which nearby zone it is. A mobile event also has the benefit of lacking a large, stationary audience for the "lals so funnay trolez XDDDD"

Ideally you would need to actually solve the riddle to find the accomplice, which would negate the advantages of porters, trackers, trolls, and super-fast bards. Maybe you need to say something to him to get him to give you the next riddle.

But no matter what you do it's difficult to run an event without the ability to death touch, I think.

I like it...especially the death touch part...everyone petition the GMs to give Bob deathtouch please

Trivia! I love hosting it, just need assistance with someone keeping track of who had the first correct answer and the scores.

I only host standard trivia since that's the game I happen to have and can just read from the cards.

Welcome back man! You should probably know that 5k is the equivalent to maybe 500p from when you last played, lol. Not trying to sound like a dick I just thought you should know that.

Trivia is a good idea, tho with google it comes down to who can do a search faster hehe.

Thanks! I dont know about that...i dont see too much inflation..90% of the items seem to be cheaper now than when I played last...fungi is half the price...and I hear it was even cheaper a few months ago. Only thing that gained value was manastone from what I have seen so far =)

And if 5kpp is not enough for your feel free to not attend =) Only on P99 would someone complain that free money was not enough free money lol.

No one wants free plat!? Need some more ideas. I have had a guide offer to help moderate the event...so we can get a little more creative now =)
