"hey, can I get a port for a CR?"

Ok, first of all - I don't care WHY you need a port. The reason you need a port is going to have pretty much no influence on whether or not I will port you. The factors that influence whether or not I'm going to are whether or not I'm at my computer, whether or not I'm busy, how much you're paying, if I like you.. and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting. The fact that you're on a CR doesn't really play into it. Stop trying to milk me for a sympathy port - because it's not happening.

Secondly - if you're sending me a tell (i.e. I'm not actively advertising that I'm porting... which I never do, so will never be the case) - let me know your terms for porting. Are you expecting it free or paying? If so, how much? Where do you need to go? Where are you currently? These are all things that I want to know.

If I'm just chilling in EC and actually at my computer, I've got no problem porting people generally... especially if they're throwing me some cash. I just think it's annoying/hilarious when I come back from being afk for a few hours in EC and see like 20 tells for ports, and like 1/2 of them are these sympathy card "I need a port for CR" bullshit. Even if I'm at my computer, I've just started ignoring tells like that.

Agree here. I normally keep up /anon or /role on my porter because of the types of tells I get that come across as demanding. When I play my alts and wish for a rez or port I ask kindly and I state how much PP I have that I can pay as well as including the zone I need it in or to.
