Personally I think they should all go. Nobody should have an advantage on Epic quest drops that other classes do not.

And as far as Red goes, epics might be way far in the future, but the saves alone on it, being a 1h weapon on top of that, it needs to be removed from characters for sure.

10hp
20sv fire
20 sv cold.

Yeah pull it from all characters, just way out of line for classic. However please reward what ever guild of who go this to drop with a different item of their chosing and a character of their chosing. This seems like the best fix to me.

We'll remove the stuff that doesn't need to be around. It might transmute into a cloth cap, but it will be removed.

A listing of such items would help a lot, so if we missed something, we can flag it era appropriate and update existing characters.

Are you talking about just for Red99, or both Blue/Red99 for the Blue Crystal Staff removal from all players?

People have been buying the staff or trading high value items to loot it.

Applying stuff from red to blue like recharge items and item changes to stuff that has been in game for over a year and other stuff doesn't make sense,but that's an entire different post.
