This was added to Phinigal when epics came out. Mage staff should remain though.

This was added at the time epics were put in. It definitely did not exist before Kunark.

This item has been changed to 1hb, and its part of the wizard FA quest.

Sounds like originally it was supposed to be 2hb.

The page is for the mob. The mob existed, the staff didn't.
