I was in 8th grade at the time. The bell had just rang and i was shuffling across the hall to my 2nd period. After some bullshitting in the hallway, i walk in to my history class and notice the tv is on. i announced "sweet, movie day?" and, upon closer inspection(and a few words frm my teacher), i was told a plane had hit the world trade center in what appeared to be a terrorist attack. I found out later that day that our president at the time, George Bush Jr., was in my town when the attacks happened, reading a fucking book to kindergarten students! Apparently, upon notification of the first plane hitting, he continued reading..it took the second plane to hit for him to get his ass in gear and high tail out of Florida. inb4 9/11 wuzaninsidejob

Wow you all are super young. I was 21 yrs old at the time. I like falling asleep with the tv on when I fall asleep, that night I forgot to turn the sleep timer on. I remember hearing lots of breaking news chit chat on the TV and opened my eyes a few times, was too tired to think much of it, next thing I know my little brother was calling me. He said to turn on Channel 7, that America was under attack but noone knew by who. He said planes were flying into buildings, 2 into WTC in NY and another that just few into the Pentagon. I had no idea what the WTC towers were but when he said the Pentagon I started crying. I mean I thought that if someone did that to the Pentagon, we were in deep shit. At the time I didn't even know about the plane in Pennsylvania. I threw on some clothes and drove to my Mom and Dads and chilled there, fixated on the news all day and night. I just wanted to be close to my family. 2 weeks later I flew to New Mexico to help my sister move home. I won't ever forget but I've learned not to dwell on it.

was 18 and came just from school that noon. met an friend on the staris telling me " a plane hit the wt center " i told him that he should not fool me . went up and turned on tv . later on the whole employees in our house were around me watching as the 2nd plane hit the tower . crazy how clearly one can remeber those things but not where u were 2 weeks before today.
