This is true, but if you try and do a lot of other things or run multiple monitors at the same time you may wish you had a separate graphics card.

Source: I have a laptop with both an integrated Intel card (Intel HD Graphics 4600) and a separate Nvidia one. For awhile I ran on the Intel graphics because it could support my laptop plus two monitors, whereas for some stupid reason the NVidia card could only handle the two monitors.

However, I went back to using the NVidia card because the Intel one got extremely laggy when I tried to do anything else while playing. If you stick to a single monitor and don't try to run anything else in the background that uses graphics, you should be fine.
