Managed to find a "fix".

You need to run the eqgame.exe in your project 99 folder to run in compatabilty mode for winxp service pack 2 or 3.

Worked for me and my son`s pc`s.

this worked for me. set it to work in compatibility mode for xp sp 3

Doing this also fixed my "crashing every time I camp to char select" issue on w10.
