I love the idea of playable Ratmen, mostly because it fits the idea that Velious should have had it's own race like Kunark did. It's possible that there was something thrown about for Velious that we never knew about, as well.

I'm gonna have to disagree with Zuranthium though, talking about playable Centaur is going too far. Mice definitely scurry with bursts of speed when my cats see them, lol.

Anyways there have been some efforts to get armor textures showing on mobs like Frogloks, but there is no way in hell anyone would be able to get armor textures looking normally on Centaur.

Centaurs wouldn't use leg or foot equipment. I think it would be cool to have them as a playable race.

Centaurs would need horseshoes for their foot gear, obviously. +5 pummeling your enemies into a pulp!

Yeah actually. I think that would be a kind of neat addition as well. They could use it but their just wouldn't be a texture.

Centaur, huh? Now that would be a really unique race. I think the racial would need to be tweaked to be faster and they would need an innate ability to charge at enemies.

I'm thinking they would rival Ogres in strength? The problem is I can only see them being Warriors, Shamans, and Rangers.

Paladin, Druid, and Bard would all fit with Centaur as well.

Inherent speed boost is a huge deal, so not being able to use leg or foot equipment would actually be a good balance anyway. They should probably have a strong racial Kick ability. I wouldn't put their strength as high as Ogres, but the second highest of all the races makes sense. Their starting agility would need to be shit, only 55 there (also, every race should really have a max cap for their stats, at least a soft cap, now that we're on that subject). Charisma only 55 because Centaurs are usually quite xenophobic and rude to outsiders, which is also a good balance with them being able to play Bards, since inherent speed boost on Bard creates the fastest character in the game. Wis/Int at 70, Dex at 75.
