Dot dot dot dot.... i followed the exact same guild progression with you, starting off as guildies in VD till TMO. Albeit on a different timeframe with TMO. I agree with your OP. Just those other wars were quality RNF too. Eccezan and Tiggles could and often did ignite huge flame wars with a single post. Stealin is gone. HBB. Raditsu. Tarathiel. Rellapse. Even Lron. Etc etc etc. All the vets moved on and that's the real reason why it sucks.
