FF stopped being good at 5,6, and 7, 8 was pure trash unless you are a post-millenial in which case it's good.
They've been riding the wave of 10 for too long imo. You can partly blame some fans for buying the bad installments in the hope it'll be good.

If nobody buys they'll have to have a proper shake up etc.

Really hope nobody gets duped into buying 7 in three installments, thats got to be the shittiest thing I've seen yet from a developer.

Personally I loved FF1, 2, 3 and 7. Everything after 7, no. The stories of 11, 12 and 13 were OK. I watched my buddy play them, but nothing like the originals.

I did play the beta of FF14 and never purchased/subscribed.

as much as I didnt enjoy 3/7 I understand them fitting into the just as good as 1&2 category and belong in the box set of best ff games ever..

the box set of FOUR games, no more .

6 will be my favorite forever but 9 and 8 have always been close seconds to me. I'm looking forward to this new 7 remake but I do think the fanboys are going to ruin it for everyone.

9 was the one that went back to the ff1 art style, but in 3D right?

I was very excited about it, but the writing was (no offence) too childlish.. Like the age range for that game was 6-12 not 12+ it felt to me.

I was like 13 heh

on a side note, this youtube link keeps poping up in my relateds, probubly becuse of these conversations and stuff we been linking.. and got dayum the art in secret of mana was fucking kick ass, despite me not really enjoying the game too much. Perhaps I should load it up the EMU

FFX was better than FF7 and 8 and maybe 9 (when played singleplayer at least) too.

I'm right and you know it.

Only played through FFX once. It was like square was trying really hard to remake FFVII without remaking it and failed at every aspect. The PS2 era games were a clusterfuck.

game was only "tropical" for 10 mins at the beginning when you meet the jolly brown islanders with a simple way of life, and days spent playing b-ball
