For real though? Who does he think he's fooling? If that couple shot up a large venue instead of a small party, which they may have planned on doing afterward (that's being investigated - you don't hoard thousands of rounds and build over a dozen pipe bombs for nothing after all) there may have been mass carnage. If their pipe bombs worked even the small party's carnage may have been much worse. Has it been said yet if the pipe bombs failed to detonate or if they just didn't bother detonating them?

And this guy is saying they don't pose an existential threat. I bet he'll say this attack wasn't actually ISIS but just ISIS sympathizers so that he's not wrong. Yeah our defenses are hardened so that a 9/11 style attack is much more difficult to pull off, but this homegrown shit is nearly impossible to defend against and that's the truth.

You sound like the BLM people who were using the #fuckparis tag because they weren't getting as much attention as they thought they were due.

Personally, I'm more concerned about violence that happens at random locations vs violence that happens at abortion clinics, because I spend 0 time at abortion clinics and I spend significant time at random locations. In addition, our crazy fundamentalist Christian population is more or less steady, so we aren't likely to see an increase in such attacks. However, we are increasing our Muslim population through immigration, which means the likelihood of attacks is increasing.

Not to nitpick too much, but the shooter of the Planned Parenthood facility was, according to the Washington Post, registered to vote as "unaffiliated" and as a woman. Furthermore, he was unknown to the people who routinely hold a mass in front of the facility and the shooter doesn't seem to be affiliated with any of the "crazy fundamentalist" (as you call them) Christians in the area, or elsewhere (see here).

The chances seem pretty good that the murdering POS was as bonkers as hell and picked his target due to the attention being given to it over the Planned Parenthood reporting which was in full swing around that time.

But, I think you're right. Fundamentalist Christians in America aren't rampaging lunatics blowing people up, or gunning them down in the streets. They are the least of our worries at this time.
