If anything, this is an example of why religious-motivated values tend to be shit values, Christian or Muslim. You see how annoying it is when they cling violently to one belief like this, imagine if it were 20 of them.
This is misguided. There are plenty of contemporary Western ideals rooted in Judeo-Christian ideals (shared with other religions as well) including forgiveness and accountability. Saying religious values are shit values is just retarded. Some yes, all or most? A bold claim.

The only motivation with this particular value is the preservation of human life which is shared by secular society. The 'problem' comes from differences in understanding of what constitutes a person. Law holds that once something possesses a majority of the physical characteristics of a person it is a person. Social conservatives tend to hold that once it has begun the process of developing those characteristics it is a person. It is an extreme. The other extreme would be the belief that it is not a person until it has finished developing.

Get your shit together, burkas are incredibly rare in Iran.

Female dress code in Iran is more like a long coat with a head scarf.

Strict adherence to this dress code is more of a class issue with the upper class, unsurprisingly, wearing what they wish and the lower class wearing more traditional clothing.

Sucks that the ladies in Iran have a dress code at all, but its silly to call every Muslim religious or regional outfit a burka.

At least learn the difference so you can fear them more authoritatively.

Burkas actually aren't that rare outside of the cities....
There are villages where every woman wears them. Everything you said above applies to Tehran and Tehran alone.

I have never been to the middle east, so I will have to listen to you here.

I really enjoy reading about our cultural enemies, while reading about Iran it sounds like burkas were are only common in communities with a majority immigrant population (people from other Arab countries).

Is this inaccurate?

I gather that you have served in the middle east, have you ever been to Iran?

Does the Hijab make them sexier or...?

Do they have to leave it on during sex? Oral? ...Anal?

I have so many questions!

I'm from Iran.

Your first post perfectly describes Tehran. The poor wear more traditional clothing in the southern portions of the city. The northern "suburbs" are basically like the Persian parts of LA. The villages have always had women wearing burkas...

Iran didn't even start to phase out the burka til the Pahlavi dynasty took power in the early 20th century...inertia in the Middle East is a powerful thing

If you're actually interested and have an hour, this is pretty decent, although definitely from a cultural relativist perspective: http://youtu.be/D61uriEGsIM
