I mean that was kinda the plot to the Dark Empire trilogy from Darkhorse comics, but I bet its going t happen in this trilogy, mark my words!

IF Luke dies, Snoke will be the one to kill him. Remember, Luke is the MOST powerful Jedi, Master mind you, in the galaxy. He will not die easily, especially by a lower level First Order guy such as Kylo Ren.

For some reason I don't think Han or Leia dies either until later. I may be wrong though. I say this because there is still a lot of story to be found out in Ep8. As for who is who's kid and whether they are force sensitive or not we will find out with Ep7. Ep8 will reveal MUCH more. We will still have a lot of questions after this movie.

Yeah I needed to rein it in. Good post. Yeah I think the Han dying thing is bullshit to throw us off. I am going to say Chewie gets whacked, based on the latest trailer, someone said they saw fur on the ground in one of the shots and mourning. Makes way more sense than Han biting it unless that broken ankle caused a rewrite.

Enjoying Harrison Ford's forced press tour appearances. Guy has social anxiety which a lot of nerds can relate to here, and its fun to watch him completely detached one moment and speechless, to completely lucid, snarky and witty. Hes much more relaxed though post-crash incident, I guess seeing your life flash before your eyes has a way of making you loosen up more.

On set he tells directors to run with a skeleton crew for his scenes, as he hates large crowds starring at him and it can affect his performances.

Anyway point is, Lucas Arts was notorious for only allowing the leaks they wanted to allow, and I think JJ and Disney are doing the same thing as security was rumored to be very very extreme overseas. Nobody was talking, and no leakers set foot anywhere near production. Only a drone picture was able to even get close to the set, and they even cracked down on that too... And George Lucas would still film fake scenes in front of the entire crew, and then reshoot it with a small crew just to make sure no keygrips sold the story. If Han actually bites it in Episode 7 I would be shocked. No Star Wars leak has ever turned out to be true as far as I know.

I'm not big into the lore outside of what the original trilogy offers, but Im going with Kylo Ren is Luke Skywalker. I know, Kylo Ren isnt Mark Hammill (at least in the credits / cast), but it doesnt mean he can't be Luke Skywalker, perhaps.

Luke burned Vader's body, 100% alone. The trailer shows Kylo Ren standing over Vaders helmet, talking to it, saying he is going to finish what Vader started..... the only person that would have Vader's bruned helm is Luke, not Kylo Ren. Luke goes dark, and becomes Kylo Ren, maybe.

Maybe he isnt Kylo Ren, but I bet he goes dark (Kylo Ren's "Master" like Obi Wan was his). Luke is completely missing from the trailers etc etc.... Han and Leia looking for Luke after he goes dark = E7?

Luke going to the darkside after being an all-star classic golden boy in the movies would make little sense. Nobody would like it or stomach it very well but maybe I'm old fashioned fanbase member, and my thinking comes from being an original trilogy fan who is hoping for some nostalgia of the original trilogy. I am biased and its possible that JJ is giving Star Wars the 2015 Star Trek treatment, modernizing and revamping it for 2015 millennial film audiences as that is what he does best.

It would have to be something like "grey area" side but I doubt it is even that simple. It is going to be more complicated than anyone can theorize about I feel. JJ and the writers had some fundamental disagreement halfway through the script that caused an impasse, this rarely happens with AAA movie writers, they always work things out. It means the disagreement had to be critical to the direction of the next 3 movies. I think this blowout between the writers had to do with Luke's role in the next 3 movies.

I don't believe Luke went dark at all. He is neither Kylo, nor Snoke nor has he turned to the dark side.

I think Luke is a pure Jedi Master that did exactly what his former Master (Yoda) did. He went in to hiding.

Jedi even after the death of the Emperor are still very much so hated. I also believe that Luke is NOT the only Jedi out there. Vader didn't get every single Jedi, nor did the "First Order".

I believe how they are going to introduce this movie though is that Luke is the lone Jedi out in there and there is no other. I know for a fact this isn't true though.

As for the helmet. I am pretty sure Luke didn't take it. I am sure that he just left the burnt remains there. Obviously you know the body isn't there. It's gone, just like Yoda and Obi. The suit was probably all melted along with the mask, but also remember that the First Order DID exist in a form during Return of the Jedi. They were used by Vader, and maybe Palpatine to hunt down the Jedi along with various other tasks.

About 1 more month. DAMN I can't wait to see this story and see where they went. Azz, I did see a youtube thing about it might be Chewie who died because there was fur.

Honestly, I'd like for them to kill off Han, Leia and Chewie. Only have Luke left to do what must be done! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Lucas's version has Luke being all powerful. Lucas said himself that Luke is more powerful than any other force user in the universe. Now, I know JJ and company didn't take ALL of what Lucas said and made a movie, but I am sure they kept certain thoughts.

Remember, Luke was alone a lot during the original movies. He was in training for....how long before seeing Han, Leia and the others. Years....

He only showed up to save Solo. Force powers he showed right off the bat, raising an GIGANTIC door. That's massive force power. He then force choked 2 pigs....just by waiving his hand just like the Emperor. The dude is nothing to scoff at.

Is this a serious question cmon pal...Yeah ok he did some evil stuff but he accomplished great things and redeemed himself, there's plenty of reason to take all his stuff for legacy and ancestry sake.

I don't think Luke is Kylo Ren, I think its probably closer to what Dafier said. Jedi are extinct and Luke is just a legend MIA. While Kylo and his goons run wild. Luke may have trained one of these guys out in nowheresville and the dude took the stuff from Luke after flipping him the bird.

Thing is, JJ doesn't write simple shit like that. Theres a twist somewhere, but I don't think its going to be as clear cut as Luke went to the dark side per se. I still believe Kylo Ren is adam driver.
