Vidar: Seems like the client is corrupted. This can be not from the installation (it is possible though), but also from your HDD itself. I would run a checkdisk on the HDD, do a disk cleanup and defrag. Check for any malware, virus' and root kits. Once all of this is accomplished, and you still have issues, I would recommend removing all of EQ and start with a fresh install. Make sure there are no left over files though. Best program to remove everything fully would be Revo Uninstaller free.
