it's time to let other women go. Those girls that are okay with hooking up with a guy with a family simply want what you got in the end. Meanwhile you're actively trying to destroy what you got. If you're successful in pushing the family away, you'll indeed be spending all your time later chasing what you once had. By then they might of found someone that plays your role better.

Tldr: once that first child was born, it became no longer about you.
A family that plays p99 together stays together.
