Thank fucking god. It was unbelievably frustrating to attempt to enforce forum rules with nothing but forum bans. Just look at the name of abacab's latest account.

As Sirken was saying, this is something we're doing now in some extreme cases.. The good news is after the recent loginserver/eqemu updates and tweaks linking forum accounts to login-server accounts is possible. But even without that, we can almost always match a forum account to an in-game account if we feel an in-game punishment is warranted.

Are we honestly so concerned about anon forum posters that we want to give the real trolls something more to consume when they can pinpoint their attacks more effectively by linking anon posters to their in game identities?

As Ambrotos pointed out in another thread, are we also so concerned about anon forum posters about a particular guild that we are going to target these anon posters over those who actively, publicly, and directly bash the staff?
