Suggestions to fix anon accounts/Porn Spammers/Gore Spammers

Make every forum other than Starting Player/Tech Support/Petitions requires a premium forum account.

In order to make a premium forum account you need to make a .25-$1 verification via paypal/credit card to get full access.

Non Premium members can view anything they want but are limited to just posting in the free sections.

Instant way to stop spammers and troll accounts.

What stops them from making infinite lvl 1 eqemu accounts?

This way you can blacklist names for good.

Problem is some of these idiots are so sad that they don't even play - they just want to troll the forums.

Tie forums to emu accounts and require a level 10+ character to get full forum access (other than Starting Player/Tech Support/Petitions). I know, it'll never happen....

This. Other emu communities do this and it mostly works well for them.

The main problem is when a common jerk-off will make a throw away game account to go with their throw away forum account and spam up a board set in the off hours. Perhaps some form of "you can't post at all until an in-game character on the account hits level 8" or something.

The exact math and numbers can be hammered out. Special moderation of the Starting Zone and Technical support would have to happen. Dunno.

Posting privileges granted past level ~15. Newbie forum where any account can post once moderator approved.

Or you could take matters into your own hands and disable pictures in User CP. It's not like 95% of them are worth viewing anyways.
