yeah...i'm using the correct login information...though, i suspect, even if i weren't i would get an error message indicating something other than just being unable to connect to the server.

i also just tried disconnecting my router and going straight from my cable modem to my computer. still no luck.

my intuition is that there is just something windows7 doesn't like about this setup now.

Did you do a fresh install of Titanium AFTER you reloaded Win 7? If so did you run it as admin? If you didn't then it installs some files (things like the eqclient.ini into a profile path (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\So ny\Everquest or something close). Is there an eqhost.ini file in there as well and does it have the correct eqemulator.net path in it? Just a longshot.

I have the same OS setup. I noticed a lot fewer problems when I installed to a directory outside of Program Files (either one of them).

thanks for the suggestions. i know the problem isn't windows 7 ITSELF (as I used to run windows7 on the same machine). I'm thinking its a setting in windows7 that screwed it somehow.

will try it all again, starting with a fresh install.

thanks again...hopefully find a solution.

okay....i copied all the files using an external hard drive from a machine where everything is working fine to my machine with the problem.

when i launch i still get the error...that implies to me that the problem lies either in my hardware or software (namely windows).
