I do dig the design, I'm curious what it sounds like and how well it holds tune. Definitely cool looking!

Verdict after a long weekend of playing is so far so good. Neck feels like a classical guitar, and holds tune just fine. Plays fine right out of the box. Feels on par with any mid range full body acoustic I've played previously. Gonna be a beauty once I do a full setup and dial the action in.

Very happy with sound quality. It has both a normal piezo pickup and pre amp modeller you can blend together. Yamaha took time to record a bunch of high end guitars with condenser mics and built them into the modeler. Sounds surprisingly good and real. Also has two different built in reverbs and a chorus.

The top contorted wood section comes off and it all fits nicely into a travel case that will easily fit in an overhead bit on a plane....assuming we can every fucking travel again.

All and all I'm quite pleased. Would definitely recommend. Also comes in a steel string version. Yamaha SLG200 is the model.

The best part is that it came with a beismeyer fence and table extensions. Nice new motor on the back, too. I made my first cut today and it was 10mm ontop 10mm on bottom and in every point i measured, 10mm. Outstanding saw. The sound it makes is like WWWSSSHHHHHH!! I love it.

finished sanding all the trim in the house(started with 120, finished with 220). Took way longer than expected, but I am a complete rookie, hopefully paint stick to it good(going from wood to white paint). Also have to hand sand the edge it has one of those weird sloping curves you cant hit with a power sander. Still have to do that step today/this week. It is GOOD that I am almost done with the paint prep for it though.

If I'm licensed and check myself into an inpatient facility and they find out I'm a nurse, they have a duty to report me to my state's Board of Nursing. I'll be investigated and probably put on probation, suspension, or have my license revoked for being a danger to myself or others. Couple this with incredible stress and emotional toll the profession takes (30% of new grads leave the profession in 2 years), is it any wonder nurses are at a higher risk of suicide? Shit needs to change in the field and it's something I want to help advocate for when I get in.

Also males get crushed harder before the social safety net kicks in. Plus the stigma of being dependent or seeking help in general for males. Also medically and legally speaking, and by the police, males are considered more of a threat, liability. Especially if they cope with drugs or their health declines. While females have more intrinsic sexual value towards a lot of doctors and male providers.

Pulled the Coupe de Ville out of the garage, cleaned it off, went out cruising with the wife snuggled up in the middle next to me. Hey buddy do you know about Spain? Wife and I are going to France and northern Spain in September to do the hike along the Santiago de compostela pilgrimage route. We’ll be in Spain for a bit after, any recommendations? I like architecture, history, hikes, and museums. My wife likes wine. Neither of us could give a mother fuck about night life or anything fancy

After the pilgrimage route were for sure going to Toledo, Seville, Granada, and cordoba, but I welcome anything else in Iberia, including Portugal! I appreciate the suggestions

I've only spent a long weekend in the Madrid area, so I can't offer much in Spain, but that pilgrimage route looks pretty sweet. I'll have to check that out at some point.

Madrid's got some cool stuff though like the Prado Museum. Go see some gangster paintings like Goya's Saturn Devouring His Son and the Triumph of Death. Those paintings are metal as fuck.

From Madrid i've done a few day trips. Segovia is well worth a visit. It has a really nice old Roman aqueduct, picturesque castle, cathedrals, and nice city walls.

Cause recurve bows are artisan crafted, hard to make them to exacting olympic specifications to shoot 100m into a nickel. Im sure some company makes a carbon fiber yadda yadda at exactly 45.5# but so what. I dont want to spend 800 on a bow made by a guy for 15 an hour. Rather give it to the guy in turkey who makes em in a tent.

Estimating a draw weight for a stick you bout to bend the wrong fucking way is tough. You pretty much end up with what you get. You can always shave some off to make it more pliable and lower the draw weight, too.

Its too bad. Such a lovely thing to watch or participate in. plunk.

I hunted with a compound bow in the early 80s. Never a tree stand but lots of standing watching and waiting, then creeping and stealth walking to stand and watch some more.

I purchased a new toy today. A recurve bow kit and half a doz. arrows. I got by with less than $200 bucks. I swung by Home Depot and got a 4x8x2" sheet of foam board cut in half for 4x4. I'll use that for a target backer, arrow catcher.
The bow is only 25lb draw so this old guy can have fun with it.

My friend brought her 9 month old cat over, and this dumbass managed to scale up a book shelf, jump out a cracked open roof window, and climb to the top of the roof and get stuck. All within the span of about 5 minutes of showing up. After trying to get her down for about an hour (the roofs are pretty steep here), we finally called the fire department and they were able to get her down. Was quite the spectacle. Neighborhood kids loved it.

Not sure if it's something good that happened today, but all's well that ends well I suppose.
