Yes reasonable of course, but its a risk that GuildA is taking knowing that they cannot properly 'deal' ( train away, kill it, or manipulate it in anyway ) with the conceded mob should GuildB have some trouble with it. Puts GuildA in such an awkward spot that shit could negatively affect them if an unexpected issue occurs. Sometimes its best to just be cautious and not be in harms way when there looks to be something harmful manifesting right next to you.

As I have been saying, the server mentality is a shoot first, ask forgiveness later thing. This causes a lot of the problems as people prefer to, say, KS something first juuuuust in case their spell had actually landed that 0.00001 second prior to the other person. And the other person who landed spell at the same time also decides to KS first instead of asking them about it because its easier to already have loot and argue about it than not.

People should just genuinely care more about how their actions impact others. Tough concept, I know.

While it has (usually) been different people causing the guild suspensions, there is still the fact that somehow they are all drawn to only 1, 2, or 3 guilds all the time.

As an outside observer here is what I can comment on.

CSG needs to recognize they are a top level guild contesting end game content. You are not casual if you are contesting mobs in NToV. Paradox was casual, Dawn Believers is casual, you are not. Recognize that because it is holding you back, if you want instances content then go to Agnarr. Many of my friends are having a great time there and luclin just came out. You can't play the casual card anymore, let's be honest.

On the other hand A/A need to also acknowledge this and include them on their rotation along with the PS/Kitten alliance and BG/Ano alliance (which it seems to some extent they do) and even the up and coming Ven/TSS alliance. They don't have the experience of the seasoned A teams but they have had more and more of a presence in ToV and they want their shot too. A/A will eat more long term bans over careless stuff like this as time progresses and these other "b" guilds begin to step up their game. Better to just agree to put certain targets on rotation now and get it once or twice a month rather than continue to cycle your bans and only be able to play for 6 months out of the year.

Furthermore, play nice. Guilds need diplomats, not raging wyverens rampaging each other. If your guild leader/officers can't hold an adult conversation about what happened then you need to begin delegating negotiations to players who can (It helps your guild image and improves recruitment in the long run).

1) CSG only petitioned AW because AM promised them every 4th king tormax and every third dain as long as it is not holding a hackle hammer.
OR
2) Gm's want to drive the losers of blue 99 into the inclusive raiding scheme that is red99 where nobody gets suspended and dragons are killed without fear

There is no rotation, you have to show up and compete for the mobs if you want a guild to consider you for a player agreement...the twice monthly repops are basically a staff implemented rotation. there are so many targets, if you can't get any of them during an earthquake, you deserve no pixels

Awakened does what Sirken wants and does everything in our power to resolve the situation, Conceding any and all dragons involved (along with others that may of popped during their recovery) And CSG were allowed to petition this?

I've been here through every era of raiding, on both sides of the fence, and I've gotta say, I've seen some really ridiculous things.
But this situation?
I guess I'm just disappointed in the decision to petition, the decision by the staff in making the punishment, and the gibberish throughout this novel of a forum post. I'm not kidding when I say I typically deal with more vile and garbage attitudes when I leave the raid zones and go and try to randomly group or farm something out in these other zones with most of the so-called casuals.

Anyone that has played actively for a long time on this server knows who people are in all the guilds- they know who the good and the not-so-good people are. OP is one of the good ones, tries to do well and this just doesn't seem right.
I'm sure someone in AW has fraps with our TS in the background with several of us realizing the mistake and trying to pull the dragon from the entrance to the cubby, or just out trying to not train them. I mean, if it wasn't us engaging Feshlak last and botching the tag, it could have very well of been AM (or any other of the 200+ people in the zone). Conceding everything involved, apologizing (perhaps maybe not officer to officer? but members to members who know each other), helping res and buff- we tried to make amends.

30 days just seems messed up considering I really do feel this is one of the better eras of guild interactions on this server. You may think its bad, but I'll gladly take what we have now compared to the socking for 3 days straight in Naggy or Vox's lair in classic. The clusterfuck that PoSky was when that came out with DA and IB. The insanity of how cutthroat TMO was (we'd literally batphone and kill everything and probably succeeded doing that for nearly 2 years on 99% of the mobs). The disaster that the rotations were (caused my only break). Now here we are:

No it's exactly not this, I can attest as the person responsible. I logged into the game and tagged a mob that had already been pulled to picture hall and pulled it to entrance. I was just getting in the game and didn't know that CSG was at entrance killing Eashen.
99% of the time when its not a repop (which it wasn't) we are killing a mob in the spot that CSG was occupying.

I'm sorry CSG got trained, I would never do it intentionally and I don't know why on earth anyone would train a separate dragon they could kill on some other guild intentionally. It doesn't speak well about states of mind that believe this would be the case.

I have no idea what went on with Sev, but if you were in the wrong, and think offering up all the loot except for the best piece of loot he drops is "everything [you] could to make it right", then it sounds like they were right to petition.

If you're in the wrong, even if it is an accident, you concede the mob and *ALL* loot. Full stop. That is what Awakened did here and still got banned. What you did sounds like it would be like if Awakened still killed the mob (which they didn't) and then tried to bargain themselves into the best piece of loot that dropped. Completely different scenario.

This just seems like part of the and toxic vibe (and to a lesser degree toxic personalities) on parts of the server. That entire raid moment was filled with unnecessary aggression from a lot of parties. I doubt any proper personal communication was had (correct me if I'm wrong) while the communication that definitely did happen was public and antagonizing. Ban seems excessive and/or potentially unnecessary so I do empathize with Awakened but I wonder if it could have been avoided through some healthy communication. Though I guess it depends on whether or not that communication did in fact take place and why the ban happened.

Trying to look at the situation objectively and I wonder about certain things.

1) CSG is getting blamed for Awakened getting a 30 day ban. But is CSG responsible for a 30 day ban or just a ban? With the 30 days being a culmination of previous bans and CSG only being responsible for 10 or so days.

2) If you look at the situation in the following way:

- Awakened accidentally trained CSG
- CSG didn't communicate that they felt it was worth petitioning over but just did

Conclusion: CSG was wrong.

But I don't think you can look at this as an isolated incident and I think more facts are relevant.

Despite it being an accident (which I accept is the case), should Feshlak have been pulled while Eashen was being engaged? I've read the explanation of why the train happened in the way that it did but to me that doesn't explain why the situation that could potentially cause a train was initiated to begin with.

I understand that Aftermath and Awakened do it this way. There's a rivalry but you guys want each other there because the competition excites you. Try to get every mob every week and if someone trains, it's just part of the game A/A plays. You conceed, you make some deals and win some, lose some and next week another game starts. Perhaps this is an incorrect way of looking at it, correct me if so.

But neither guild plays that game with any other guilds. And it seems like both guilds are so used to playing this game that they see it as a given. This is just the way things are (despite actively creating that particular way themselves). So another guild comes in, makes a clean pull and Awakened goes off to pull another raid mob right away, which could potentially train the other guild. And why? Was it their first shot in 7 months at that highly contested mob that drops an epic piece for a person whose main still needs it after 2 years? No, it was just another one of the ToV mobs Awakened kills again and again.
It ends up wiping CSG? Due to an accident? Sure. But an accident that occured because of 'competition!!!' ?. Also true. Well, no biggie. Just let CSG know through /ooc "we conceed." Situation resolved.

That works well when it's one mob and two guilds. We wipe you guys? Well, we conceed, and the other guild gets an uncontested kill of the target they were after. That actually helps the guild you wiped.
But in ToV with that amount of people it doesn't really work the same.
CSG wasn't going after Feshlak so how does conceeding that mob help in any way?
CSG had a clean kill going for Eashen and then gets trained twice, which jeopardized their shot at getting Eashen.
Conceeding Feshlak served nothing more than to do away with a fuck-up by means of a technicality. It also sets a certain precedent. It was mentioned that people should just start training the shit out of other guilds whenever they're killing something and then just say "we conceed". It's a magical get out of jail free card.
Guild A and B compete. Guild A throws guild C some loot and in return guild C trains guild B whenever A and B are competing. And then Guild C just conceeds. Problem solved.

What more could have been done? That's a question that was asked multiple times but never directly answered. First of all, nothing was done. Not for CSG. Conceeding Feshlak was 100% self-serving.
Send nudes, sing apology songs in their particular native language ('cause lol: they Euros)... yes. Perhaps someone in Awakened should have taken the time to send a tell and explain the situation. Apologize and see if after the night was done they could discuss something by means of making up for the wipe and potential loss of a raid boss. Because (again) conceeding didn't do anything at all for CSG.

It wasn't up to CSG to communicate, it was up to Awakened. CSG communication would require them to do more than they should have, which I will address in a moment.

The reason why you just got banned for 30 days is because YOU, yes YOU, are responsible for turning the raid scene on this server into a steaming heap of othmir refuse. It doesn't matter that Awakened's scrub wiped an entire guild because he was so bad at the game he couldn't manage to communicate with his guildies before trying to FTE a mob. What really matters is that for the past years, YOUR guild and guilds exactly like it, mostly comprised of the same people, have been hives of degeneracy and toxic behavior. (Toxic behavior like getting a batphone and racing for a mob without bothering to contact your guild to see what's going on - nice one, genius!)

Over the years, many, many things have gone unnoticed by the GMs. But all those sleazy pull strats and culture of fucking over your rival guild to get your Fleshlight Loot first have culminated in this raid scene which Absolutely Deserves to Be Banned.

People are going to freak out and have meltdowns. People will hopefully quit the server (good riddance) or leave the banned guilds. This is all good. It means that the punishments are working because it's going to get rid of the people who cannot deal with the rules, or it's going to force people to create a wholly different raid scene where they aren't at risk for 30 day + suspensions.

This is not the case, Rotating some targets has actually fostered a mentality from the semi-casual guilds that they can compete if they only have to face 1-A bringing a whole new dynamic of competition to the raid scene. PS+BG now contest fear, CSG has wrecked some dains and such, Statue has been contested much more these days.

Right, which is why the A/A statue rotation blew up--because PS was competing against Aftermath--and why that condition will be necessary for an A/A rotation to continue or expand.

Trying to look at the situation objectively and I wonder about certain things.

1) CSG is getting blamed for Awakened getting a 30 day ban. But is CSG responsible for a 30 day ban or just a ban? With the 30 days being a culmination of previous bans and CSG only being responsible for 10 or so days.

2) If you look at the situation in the following way:

- Awakened accidentally trained CSG
- CSG didn't communicate that they felt it was worth petitioning over but just did

Conclusion: CSG was wrong.

But I don't think you can look at this as an isolated incident and I think more facts are relevant.

Despite it being an accident (which I accept is the case), should Feshlak have been pulled while Eashen was being engaged? I've read the explanation of why the train happened in the way that it did but to me that doesn't explain why the situation that could potentially cause a train was initiated to begin with.

I understand that Aftermath and Awakened do it this way. There's a rivalry but you guys want each other there because the competition excites you. Try to get every mob every week and if someone trains, it's just part of the game A/A plays. You conceed, you make some deals and win some, lose some and next week another game starts. Perhaps this is an incorrect way of looking at it, correct me if so.

But neither guild plays that game with any other guilds. And it seems like both guilds are so used to playing this game that they see it as a given. This is just the way things are (despite actively creating that particular way themselves). So another guild comes in, makes a clean pull and Awakened goes off to pull another raid mob right away, which could potentially train the other guild. And why? Was it their first shot in 7 months at that highly contested mob that drops an epic piece for a person whose main still needs it after 2 years? No, it was just another one of the ToV mobs Awakened kills again and again.
It ends up wiping CSG? Due to an accident? Sure. But an accident that occured because of 'competition!!!' ?. Also true. Well, no biggie. Just let CSG know through /ooc "we conceed." Situation resolved.

That works well when it's one mob and two guilds. We wipe you guys? Well, we conceed, and the other guild gets an uncontested kill of the target they were after. That actually helps the guild you wiped.
But in ToV with that amount of people it doesn't really work the same.
CSG wasn't going after Feshlak so how does conceeding that mob help in any way?
CSG had a clean kill going for Eashen and then gets trained twice, which jeopardized their shot at getting Eashen.
Conceeding Feshlak served nothing more than to do away with a fuck-up by means of a technicality. It also sets a certain precedent. It was mentioned that people should just start training the shit out of other guilds whenever they're killing something and then just say "we conceed". It's a magical get out of jail free card.
Guild A and B compete. Guild A throws guild C some loot and in return guild C trains guild B whenever A and B are competing. And then Guild C just conceeds. Problem solved.

What more could have been done? That's a question that was asked multiple times but never directly answered. First of all, nothing was done. Not for CSG. Conceeding Feshlak was 100% self-serving.
Send nudes, sing apology songs in their particular native language ('cause lol: they Euros)... yes. Perhaps someone in Awakened should have taken the time to send a tell and explain the situation. Apologize and see if after the night was done they could discuss something by means of making up for the wipe and potential loss of a raid boss. Because (again) conceeding didn't do anything at all for CSG.

It wasn't up to CSG to communicate, it was up to Awakened. CSG communication would require them to do more than they should have, which I will address in a moment.

But that patronizing /ooc wasn't the only communication. Other communication from AW followed and boiled down to "leave A/A be to complete and fuck off casuals". Aftermath as well.

And this is not an isolated incident, it's part of the entire raid scene. A raid scene that is currently shaped by A/A. I can't speak on it as I haven't been privy to those conversations but several CSG members asserted that guild communication with Awakened and Aftermath have often boiled down to "learn to petition". I also haven't seen anyone denying this. But it seems to me to be an important aspect of it.

So then I look at the situation as follows:

- CSG was simply killing a raid mob, got fucked over and ... nothing.
- Awakened plays their A/A raiding game, fucks another guild in the process and conceeds. Damnit, that's a loss for us and a win for Awakened. But we'll get 'em next week! Oh, CSG? The rules state we just need to conceed and our training is no longer an issue.
- Awakened thought they were jailfree because of a technicality, not for setting things right.
- No proper communication from Awakened.
- Bunch of people who didn't want to be a part of the A/A game.
- Bunch of people who were tired of being told to learn to petition petitioned.
- Awakened gets banned. It's 30 days (which really sucks and I don't enjoy it personally) but I'd say CSG gave you guys 10 days and the previous bans added the 20.

It's not like CSG doesn't come out and play the game. I remember a Cazic Thule not too long ago where CSG wiped and Blood Guard kited CT (leaving out detail for simplicity) and conceded. This gave CSG time to recover and they were able to kill CT. Were we upset at blood guard? Yes. Did they cost us CT? Probably. Did we petition them? No. I'm pretty sure it felt great to be in CSG's shoes getting a satisfying win.

Look, I get what you're saying. CSG are more conscientious objectors than anything to raiding in ToV. However, we treat you like any other raid force. Maybe we should have contacted you and given you a little scratch to make you feel better about the whole situation, is that what you really want?

Let me get this straight. We cleared a separate camp since the one we usually use was taken. We attempt to pull a mob into our new, solo camp, but it gets dragged onto another guild, so we concede the mob. We then get suspended for that? Sounds like we followed procedure on what to do when you accidentally train a guild.

So you trained another guild with fesh while they were currently killing a raid target (eash) that you previously conceded. You then also concede fesh in ooc like that is going to make up for it? Guilds can train whoever they want now as long as you concede said mob?

I wonder what the goal is for signing off on such a harsh sentence when the rules were followed conceding mobs after they were trained. Do we have to have make up sex with all the officers of the parties we offended too? What exactly are we suppose to do here?

Velious was beaten with kunark gear by <Rampage> at day 1. I was there, if you really think blocking competition from getting gear will make em less stronger you are just a moron. Monk bots with no gear and just voiddance/DA idol can pull ToV just as good as a full BiS monk.

We rotate mobs with Aftermeth because the petition bullshit that come out of those targets is insane... and if we were not banned everytime something oppsieeee happened, maybe we wouldnt rotate as much. But truth is: when you playing and coordinating fast as fuck shit can go wrong very easy (but again, people who never raided in high level wouldnt understand since they can take 2hrs to prep for a target).

The adrenaline is what keeps me playing EQ in p99. I hate rotated targets, tbh i often don't even log in to kill those at all...

I am pretty sure lots of Aftermeth people will dislike these 30days of our ban. Because killing mobs without competition is terribly boring.

No it's exactly not this, I can attest as the person responsible. I logged into the game and tagged a mob that had already been pulled to picture hall and pulled it to entrance. I was just getting in the game and didn't know that CSG was at entrance killing Eashen.
99% of the time when its not a repop (which it wasn't) we are killing a mob in the spot that CSG was occupying.

I'm sorry CSG got trained, I would never do it intentionally and I don't know why on earth anyone would train a separate dragon they could kill on some other guild intentionally. It doesn't speak well about states of mind that believe this would be the case.

So this was a known live pull. Why is nobody talking about the Aw tank(s) letting this gargantuan dragon run by them at cubbies to the entrance while they say "derp eep" and not engaging? Didn't see it? Please. Didn't know it was being pulled? Please. Puller didn't hit his INC message? Right...

Why this puller wasn't parked at the entrance? No wonder they get so many FTE's...

Why were they pulling beside the entrance when they would know that Eashen wasn't dead yet? That's a lot of coincidences to be accidental.

Then showing their class by trying to flame casual guild's skills. When if this truly was an accident, they lacked skills on many levels themselves.

Technically true but we were allowed to do it because we specifically asked if it was ok to do that at the time, we were told yes but there was a misunderstanding so we were told not to do it in the future which we didn't.
