Default What do I do with the patch? How do I install it?

Im kind of newish to the server, been here 3 or 4 months, and I used the Duxa tool to install it. Since the patch came out this morning, I cant play, and I have no clue how to install the patch. Where do you extract the files at in the EQ folder? I tried putting it in the main sony/EQ directory, and in the spell effects folder.. not working. I know this is probably a silly question, but there is literally zero information in the 'getting started' thread that Rogean has put up on how to install a patch.. and I do not use the EQEMU launcher because ive tried over and over and I cant get it to work for me. The starting thread literally says to install the launcer, which I dont feel is an option for me?

Help out a very non tech-savy gal?

The patch files come zipped in a folder with 4 loose files at the "top" and a subdirectory called "Resources", containing one file.

The 4 loose files go into your main EQ directory. You should see that they over-write 4 existing files by the same name or you have put them in the wrong place. The file in the Resources subdirectory goes into the Resources subdirectory or your main EQ directory.

There is just one more thing to do. Windows may recognize that these files come from an external server (not your computer) and mark them so. This can cause issues with file access. You should go to "Properties" of each of these files and allow them to be treated as files that originated on your own system. I think the button for this is called "Unblock", if I remember right.

Hey Feel,

I had a typo in what I said, perhaps this correction will help. What I DID type was:
The file in the Resources subdirectory goes into the Resources subdirectory or your main EQ directory.

What I SHOULD have typed was:
The file in the Resources subdirectory goes into the Resources subdirectory of your main EQ directory.
