GM Sirken is holding another event on the red server and everyone should come watch the fun and get an idea of what red pvp is all about!

The last "thursday night fights" was a smashing success with a lot of great prizes given out such as potions and even seven or eight Amulets of Necropotence (that very desireable and expensive item from the raid encounter in Plane of Fear, Cazic Thule) being randomed off!!

Even level one observers who just came to watch were awarded Amulets of Necropotence! (or maybe he was level 4? Cwall, what level was your noob who won a AoN?), so not only will you be very entertained by comming over to red and watching, you just may end up with some awesome raid loot to boot! Whats not to like???

See you all there.. you might have so much fun, you will want to play on red full time!

It's like the red players are jehovah's witnesses and the rest of the p99 community are the law-abiding citizens who just don't want to be bothered.

I agree that it is stuff like this (assuming that AoN were given out and user Tr0llB0rn is not in fact a troll.. but we'll see) that would pull people in, but...

The community that represents 'red' on these forums have proven themselves time and time again to be immature name-callers whose sole purpose is to make fun of people on blue and talk about how much better their server is in language that I would typically reserve for my 7 year old niece.

If you really want to convince people to come to red I'd propose cleaning up your act on these forums (the only exposure I have to red). Until then, have fun being griefed.

Sorry, only those who have actually played on red have any factual basis to pass judgement on the server. If I based my opinion of blue on the forums I would think its just a bunch of people sitting around waiting for a mob to pop and hope they are the first to touch it.

So check out red, or not, who cares, just don't assume you know anything about the server unless you have felt the rush of eq pvp.

Right so you're missing the point.

I've seen tons of posts saying 'come play red'. I played Sullon Zek back in the day - I know what at least that kind of PvP was like. It was fun, but I ended up going back to blue.

My point is, is that if you HAVEN'T played EQPvP and you HAVEN'T played on red, what do you judge a book by? It's cover.

And the cover for me are the likes of BigSlip and SamwiseRed who incessantly troll people and belittle everyone that doesn't agree with them. While I have no FACTUAL information to judge Red by, I do have the passive information I gather about the population base that is represented on these forums.

As such, I have no desire to play on red. It COULD be really fun -- but I'll never know because of the way it is represented on these forums.

Also, you wouldn't just think that about blue (Sitting for mobs). You would think that after looking @ RnF maybe, but this general forum is filled with people asking questions about the game - where to level, what quests are available, solo/duo combinations, class/game mechanics, etc.

To each their own - I agree that it could be fun, just that red needs to reign in their trolls if you want to be serious about recruiting more people to play.

no clue wtf youre talking about. blue has 3 trolls for every 1 on red. RnF is a shit hole and blue is completely stifled by basement dwelling poopsocking window lickers. I play here i know. lol at your shitty pedestal.

mostly about zone control and/or guilds mobilizing for guild PVP. no item loot, just coin.

Not only does it have 6x the population, it had 3x the amount of reds population banned in a single sitting. I'd be more concerned about the 300~ people banned for rampant cheating, trolling and RMT then being belittled by Sam and Bigslip... grow up.
