One is Point Blank looks like, the other is targeted Stun AoE.

Less mana for more danger/dmg

My theory is Al'Kabor hated all fellow wizards and trolls the magical realm with all of his shitty spells.

Every Al'Kabor is targeted AoE just like circle of force (which has a brief 0 second stun included)

Circle of Force is really the only viable/mana efficient quadding nuke until you get your pillar line of targeted AoEs in the early 50s.

Al'Kabor line sucks. It hits 5 targets instead of the usual 4, which is not really something you can take advantage of.

Checking on allakhazam, force spiral has an AE range of 35 while the AE range on circle of force is 15. Force spiral also has that small stun and can hit more targets. Still, it's basically worthless.

I always remembered the Al'Kabor line having unlimited targets. But maybe that was only one spell in the line.

As far as I know, on P99, there is no spell which hits an unlimited number of targets at range - only point blank AEs do this.

To my knowledge this is true too.

For reference: the Al`Kabor and rain lines are useless.
Use Circles/Pillars for quadding.
Use PB AE's for AE groups.
