Default Easiest way to travel to Qeynos from Freeport?

Hey guys, I just started playing EQ again and it's been about 10 years so my memory is a little rusty, but I wanted to know the quickest and safest way to get to Qeynos from Freeport. Can a druid or wizard port me close there? I'm a level 5 Monk and East Commons is already wearing on me (too low for orc camps and all the other mobs con green) plus I want to do my headband quests and maybe group in Blackburrow. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

At your level the quickest course of action might just be rerolling in Qeynos.

Otherwise, safest bet is to find a port to Toxx and take the boat from Erudin.

Honestly, Qeynos is a desolate area on P99. EC is going to be your best bet for leveling and group interaction. Ask a friendly druid for some thorns/regen and you will be level 10 in no time

Yep. I start in Qeynos every chance I can because gnoll fangs are the best. Also, I know it's kinda early but I'm smoking pot, since you asked.

Yeah.. Qeynos is a mixed bag. Relatively desolate (good, good thing for newbie zones in P99. More competition when soloing = bad). The bad part of Qeynos is that you will feel incredibly isolated from the rest of the player base. Also, I will warn you now: It may be easy to get a port FROM EC/WC to anywhere else in the world (including NK/Toxx), but getting a port FROM Qeynos if you're not in a guild is such an undertaking. Very, very few high levels pass through Qeynos Hills (unless they're camping Hadden, in which case, they're not able to port you). It's a trade-off, but what in EQ isn't?

Gnoll fangs are objectively the best.

Agreed, although I think that once you get to about level 14 or so the gnoll fangs start to give diminishing return rates. But you can definitely race into the mid teens off of gnoll fangs, and then your options open up.

Alright, some good advice in here. Seems to be pros and cons to both Freeport and Qeynos...I wish I could do the Gnoll fangs but I guess I should stop whining and bear down and tough it through a couple levels and then start grouping at Orc 1 and Orc 2 camps in EC. Modern MMOs probably have spoiled me with the fast leveling and I've forgotten how to stick it out. I'll probably farm East Commons until 10 - 11 and then ease my way into North and South Ro and Oasis.

Eh what fun is the easiest, try to get there on your own. Path 4 would be the only one you could do with zero outside help... I think.

Path 1
Commonlands, Kith, HighKeep, Karanas

Path 2
Commonlands, Kith, Rivervale, Misty Thicket, Runnyeye, Gorge, Karanas

Path 3
Desert, Innothule, Feerrott, Rathe Mtn, Lake Rathe, Karanas

Path 4
Oasis, Timorous Deep, take pot to Erudin, boat over to Qeynos.

If you are a monk then you are obviously Human or Iksar. Why don't you just reroll and start the monk in Qeynos. You are only level 5. Don't humans have the option to start at either Freeport or Qeynos?
