Default 29 pet spells.

Pets summoned from the level 29 pet scroll for enchanter/magician/necro are suppose to start Dual Wielding no matter what level you summon. I asked a GM he said the pet had to be level 29 itself, this is incorrect.. Big disappoint for dinging 29 for me.

I thought pets started double hitting around 16 or 20, pets *hold* 2 weapons from lvl1 I believe...

Pets quadding seems to start around 34/39.

Okay nvm, I looked into this further, apparently the enchanter pets have a known bug where they can't Dual Wield?

Info below.

I would still give my pet weapons with the level 44 pet spell, because I have noticed if you summoned the highest level pet at 44, you don't have to give it weapons for the pet to DW.

Haynar: Added ability for pets to dual wield if a weapon is equipped in secondary and the pet is level 24 or higher. Pets level 38 or higher will now be able to dual wield without equipping any weapons.

If pet needed to actually "be" lvl 29 it would require a top summon lvl 34 spell.

I'd say the GM didn't know much what he was talking about

Take a look at the info on the pets. not all of it is completely as on the companion list as its taken from general Emu servers, but it gives a hint
eg. for classic pet lvl's vary each time you summon them.

Lvl 24 mage pet: summons ranges from roughly lvl 20-23
Lvl 29 mage pet: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 23-26

So if these lvl's are the same as they were in original EQ
you would say Pet "NEED" to be lvl 23 to Dual Wield, wich only the top summon lvl 24 pet spell IS.

I am not sure what Lvl of the pet spells pet should dual wield no matter they have a wep or not. I believe that was something that wasn't completely in when EQ was new, thats why people always tend to give pets weps. to make sure they dual wield.

This how it's *supposed* to be, if true classic

According to:

http://strategywiki.org/wiki/EverQue...ecromancer/Pet

It says 29 pet spell can duel wield with weapons only. but the 34 pet spell will duel wield without weapons.

Not based on level of pet... though I know that list may not be classic.

In another recent thread a GM stated that they disabled dual wield on Enchanter animations due to an exploit. I have no idea what this is referring to and nothing was posted previously concerning this.

Still waiting hear back about it.

I did not say that I disabled dual wield on Enchanter animations. Not being able to give enchanter pets, weapons was a side effect of fixing other issues.

The issue is being worked. But as with all things, the squeaky wheel falls off.
