![]() I'm trying to keep this from being a TLDR post.
With that said, I get the impression that there are 3 basic kinds of gameplay at 60. Those being "serious" raiding (TMO killing gods and dragons), "casual" raiding (several different guilds doing planar clears, epic mobs, and maybe getting a lucky-ish god or dragon kill here or there), and cash camp farming. And you can do more than 1 with a single character, and I guess there is more to do at 60 than JUST these 3 things, but for me (and I think for most people?), tradeskills and random exploration and helping other people level aren't enough to keep someone playing a given character. Cash camp farming is the thing that gets me. Am I wrong, or is it basically dominated by clerics, shamans, enchanters, and tanks? Sure, you can take a whole group to crypt or king, but isn't it true that probably 90% of the fungis and hieros and HS south drops on the server were obtained by a 1-3 character combination of clerics, shamans, enchanters, and tanks? Does velious change things? Are there more situations in velious where a bigger group is needed to accomplish some non-raiding feats, such that classes that don't have a role in powerhouse solo/duo/trio makeups have good shots at cash camps? And the TLDR version: am I a retard for playing a rogue instead of a cleric, enchanter, shaman, or tank? Other TLDR version: I'm a whiny player who is playing a class that cant duo cash camps. | ||
