Game Mechanics: Unable to loot

On a few occasions I have been unable to loot the corpse of a mob that I killed soloing. There were no other players involved in the killing of said mob. The message states "you are too far away from this corpse. You cannot loot this corpse at this time." appeared even after seven minutes of trying to loot it from every angle possible. Below are the different locations/mobs.


4 June, Frontier Mountains, a goblin dustscryer
Approx 31 May, Everfrost Peaks, an ice giant
Approx 28 May, Everfrost Peaks, an ice giant


I do not know exactly what else information will help to identify the issue. I looked around on past eq1 issues and did not find anything helpful.

On a side note, a goblin dustscryer drops Dustscryer's Crystal Ball 100% of the time, according to p1999 wiki and other sources. Due to the bug I was unable to retrieve the item. If possible is there a chance to receive that item? Not being able to loot the two ice giants were slightly saddening, however it took me over 5 hours to spawn the goblin dustscryer and not being able to receive my reward is rather disheartening.
