![]() ok I spent the whole day fixing trillions of problems. I got sick of errors already and I'm about to quit trying. I am finally in the game and now I realize I need to fix my Dual Core problem because the game runs too fast. I think i need to have Windows SP3 if that's my only option then I think I can't play the game, if there are other options please let me know.
I tried setting affinity to 0 in eqgame process but I always get access denied message. | ||

![]() As I recall you need to have Admin rights to set affinity.

![]() I've posted this before but I'm running Xp Pro SP2 and I don't see AFFINITY listed as an option under Start - what works for me is install runfirst.exe in the same path as EQ and put the following in Target:
C:\Path to EQ\EverQuest\RunFirst.exe "eqgame.exe patchme" with the path to EQ in the Start In field. You can download RunFirst from http://www.activeplus.com/Products/RunFirst - it's free. I use this on multiple PCs and it always works. Regards, Mg
