Default Wu's armor

I am pretty certain the Wu's tailored armor was not available until much later. In the original days I played a monk and always remember the top end tailor gear being the "cured silk" set. I also remember a huge gap in tailoring (which was eventually filled by the Wu's armor in Kunark). I am not 100% on this but I figured I would throw out some findings.

I am going to post the ZAM threads for each of the Wu pieces below. Almost every single thread starts around May 21, 2001. That date is well past the release of Velious (which apparently was on December 6, 2000). I also have tried to identify any "interesting" post.

Early EQ patch history (what I have used for my date reference):

Entire Wu armor set (the general collection of the Wu armor):

Interesting threads on specific armor pieces:

Gauntlets (This thread was started before most others of the Wu set. It also has a post talking about a lot of Wu armor being added in a "recent" patch. I did not find this in patch notes though... ~9th post):
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=1551

Neck (Post talking about early monk content getting eclipsed by easy tailored items... ~2nd post):
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=5981

Sleeves (Post talking about monks never having items like this before... ~3rd post ):
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=5988

Slippers (Post talking about there finally being a tailoring recipe that allows people to close the higher lvl tailoring gap... ~1st post):
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=5987

It is also worth mentioning that my references to the post are using the "oldest first" sort method. That should be the default setting. I do apologize to any monks/tailors in the future if this is true! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
