Best Way to Raise Weapon Skill

Wondering if anyone has any tips on the best way to raise weapon skills? I would prefer something that can be done solo so im not being dead weight to a group while my skill is low.

Anyone have any ideas?

Find a friendly group happily killings things light blue or higher, and ask them if they'll let you skillup off of their mobs.

If you can fear kite, that's easy as well.
