Default eqhost.txt access denied help

Ok so I am attempting to edit the eqhost.txt to what the playguide says it should be when I go to save the changes notepad says access denied. what do I do to get it to save changes.

right click it, go to properties and remove write protection? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

and if that doesnt work .. save it to your desktop as eqhost.txt, and move it with your explorer into the EQ directory and replace the original ... with that method you will get a definate error message if it cant be written for whatever reasons, or can say "overwrite anyway" if its write protected ...
