Logs folder missing

Had to get new computer and reinstalled eq.
thing is my logs folder is missing, don't recall having to make one
also when I type /log in game, it doesn't seem to be making a coresponding log file
is there something I need to set up in client that I forgot?

new pc is windows 7, game works fine otherwise
