Default UI / Configuration settings

I configured the UI just the way I like it (It took a long time) but then I had to reinstall EQ due to a major error.

Before uninstalling, I copied the UI files for several characters...
now the problem is, I have no idea where I'm supposed to place them, I have placed them in the "Uifiles" folder but that has no effect on the game.
If there is a command to load them(there probably is) I have no idea what it is.

The files look as follows:

Quote:
UI_Charactername_Project1999
Configuration settings
8kb
How can I recover my configuration?

Make a new folder under the uifiles folder, then in game either use the load Skin button in the Options menu, or type in /loadskin and the folder name. You'll need to move everything around the way you like it and put it in place. THEN if you have multiple toons, look in the eq folder for a UI_Charactername.ini file. Copy and rename this to match all your characters so you don't have to redo the layout for each and every toon you have. Save these ini files when you do your ui backups so you don't have to redo it in the future.
