![]() I am PLing a friend, outside of group, and trying to avoid the XP penalty. My buddy is a chanter. Say he does 10% damage to a mob, his pet+DS does84%, and we let it die. I then finished the mob off at 6%.
My friend didn't get the XP. Why is that? It was green to me, so I don't know who got it. I only did 6% total, so I assumed my friend should get it. Also, for the 50% rule. Does the pet's DS count as part its damage?

![]() More details contemptor:-
What level is your buddy? What zone were you in? If it's something like orcs in CB and he's level 7-8, some of them might be green to him. I'd say the DS is definitely involved here if you're a mid-high level mage.

![]() Alright ill try to make this easy to follow. Lets say this green mob has 100hp. Now your friend did 10 damage. Then your friends pet did 41 and the damage shield did 41. Now the damage shield is no ones damage, so we have to cross that out.
At this point your friend would get half exp because the pet did more damage. Then we have to take into effect that the mob has 6hp left. Lets say to kill the mob you used some sort of burst for 60 damage. Your friend+pet total damage = 51 Your total damage = 60 The mob is yours because rollover damage counts.

You're saying that if I nuke a mob for 600 damage, but it only has 6hp left, it would actually count as 600 damage?
