Default system requirements.

Looking to buy a budget laptop specifically for p99. What would the min requirements be for me to be able to play it at max settings with no lag or chopping? Internet is not an issue

Is it even possible to buy a laptop that was made in the last 7 or so years that wont run p99?

But it is something like this
OS: Windows 98 / 2000 / ME / XP / Vista
CPU: Pentium 3 1.0 GHz or AMD Equivalent
RAM: 256 MB
HDD: 300 MB Free
Graphics Card: 64 MB 3D Graphics Card. (GeForce 3 Class card or better)

As someone who plays on a laptop with a Celeron 2.0ghz, 1.3(ish) gigs of ram, and integrated Intel graphics, and a trimmed version of XP. I would say buy something that does not use integrated graphics at all. I hate going to Kunark since the textures drop this machine to near unplayable.

Just bought a refurb ASUS laptop from cedarpc.com for 300ish bucks, intel centrino dual 1.3, 4gigs ddr2, geforce g210m.. Runs eq like a dream. All I've put on it game-wise. Was sketch ordering from the company, but all worked out. Thing is rad.

Here's what I was able to dig up on Google:

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows 95/98
Processor: Pentium 2 @ 233 MHz
Memory: 32 MB
Hard Drive: 600 MB Free
Video Memory: 4 MB
Sound Card: DirectX 7 Compatible
Keyboard & Mouse
CD/DVD Rom Drive: 2X Speed
Active Internet Connection @ 56.6 KBPs

Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows 95/98
Processor: Pentium 2 @ 450 MHz
Memory: 128 MB
Hard Drive: 600 MB Free
Video Memory: 16 MB
Sound Card: DirectX 7 Compatible
Keyboard & Mouse
CD/DVD Rom Drive: 2X Speed
Active Broadband Internet Connection

Basically anything you buy that isn't ancient should blow these specs out of the water. We're not using Luclin models so you don't need that much RAM. I remember buying memory sticks just to be able to load more Luclin models. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Mobile phones nowadays higher specs than these, running at dual core 1.2GHZs with 1GB rams. If only someone can convert EQ to work on mobile phones and tablets [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Running Ultima Online on tablets/mobile phones would be cool too LOL

The answer to your questions is, no it is not. Go buy a 100 dollar referb from your location computer store. It is fully capable of running EQ. Shit it could probably run 4 instances of EQ at the same time.

My laptop is 2 years old and the fan whirrs at the speed of 1000 gazelles when EQ starts (I have given it a hard time though)...not all old laptops/PCs are good ones, you wouldn't want this one :P
