Spells: spell casting/canceling

ok so you know when you go to cast a spell you have scribed - how it greys out all spells until the current spell is done casting? well if you sat down(on the blue server) mid cast of whatever spell, it would cancel casting, and almost immediately allow you to cast any of your other spells. is this blue specific? i ask because it certainly doesn't work this way on r99. broken, or, implemented to keep you locked out of quick spell access during a heated pvp bout?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
