Spells: Whirl Till You Hurl

I dunno if it's supposed to be working like this, but I fought an enc today who was blue to me and I had 55 mr at lvl 19 and he managed to keep me stunlocked the whole fight with whirl. didn't resist it once, and it lasted about 8-10 seconds. even when it ran off and I could move I still couldn't cast any spells, it acted like I was silenced. Just wondering if its working properly.

The stun stacking after it wears off has been an issue for a very long time. I've put in a bug report a long time ago on P99 blue. I can reproduce this bug over and over.

This is not just a problem with whirl til you hurl. I have noticed it with bards as well. Whenever you get stunned, even after it wears off, it sometimes does not allow you to move/cast spells but your melee attacks still run. Very weird, and is a very big game-changing problem in pvp situations, obviously.

Just want to reiterate the fact that this spell is stupidly powerful right now in its bugged state. The stun on this spell is lasting between three and four ticks when it's supposed to last two ticks. Damage isn't breaking it early either.

One stun. Autoattack indicates when I became unstunned after 19 seconds. The 'you are unstunned' message is inaccurate. 'You can't use that command right now...' is me attempting to cast spells.

I made a post about it like 2 years ago and they answered that everything is fine with that spell so I highly doubt they will change it now

my only death i had so far was by a group with a chanter chaincasting whirl on me. i went 100 to 0 without being able to cast or run once in that fight. good times [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

i do think tho, that it can be easily resisted once u reach higher MR

This is incorrect. Whirl appears to be acting differently on a player vs an NPC.

If it is cast on an NPC spell damage or melee damage will break the Whirl.

If it is cast on a PC it lasts full duration and cannot be broken by melee or spell.
